  1. Are we talking about TQ or TQ2?
  2. The whole ASN thing on True was a blatant rip-off IMHO. I've no idea who the Astro supplier is in Pattaya (or what size of dish you might need) but it shows plenty of live US sports. I've got to say that HD works great with the NFL games. Back to the OP - I believe ASN gets the chop from True this coming weekend.
  3. B+H, along with all the other BAT UK brands, haven't been imported into Thailand from the UK since 2009.
  4. You want to have some fun as well? OK. A couple of thousand.
  5. A couple of hundred Baht.
  6. They all look the same to Nid.
  7. It's got rooms and a swimming pool. I would have thought that made it a resort and spa. Getting back to the Gentlemen's Club nonsense - I thought they were well established in Thailand as G-Clubs with annual membership etc. I've got to agree with dontcha's suggestion (for once) - since ST rooms are available on the premises, brothel would be a more accurate description, even if it is comfortable and nice looking.
  8. Thanks, Biggles. I don't get Sophon down my way - I'll have a look at our cable provider though (they're in the process of a major upgrade, so it may be a month or two until their full channel list is complete).
  9. Which provider carries the Australian pacific chanel? True? Sophon? Astro?
  10. I don't think it's a Scottish thing at all. I'm sure if some boring fucker was to dig out the statistics you'd be able to come up with a cluster of successful managers from the North East for example. Robson, Clough and Paisley are the obvious culprits. Funnily enough, those three are held in extremely high regard north of the border. Even my granny knew who Clough and Robson were.
  11. Yes. And ....
  12. C'mon. The rest of the world knows that England isn't an island, insignificant or otherwise.
  13. No. It just confirms the perception that the rest of the world holds of the English. I put a smilie at the end, so don't take it too seriously.
  14. Souness is irrelevant, He was born at the wrong end of the M8.
  15. No. It's a Singapore company, partly owned by Singapore Airlines.
  16. Why? The seven managers were all crap players in their day. Logically, that means the number of crap Scottish players now doing the rounds should ensure that we'll dominate coaching positions in the Premier League for the foreseeable future. Always look on the bright side ......
  17. I would imagine sometime after.
  18. And justifiably so! Actually, the Scottish link is a bit of a broad brush; the seven current managers were all born within 13 miles of each other. If Peterborough and/or Cardiff get promoted Ferguson Jnr and Mackay could be added to the list. Out of the last 26 seasons, 18 English titles have been won by Scottish managers from the same small area. I'd call that dominance. Has ANY English manager ever won the Premier League? Maybe the thread should be asking why English managers are so crap. I can remember Liverpool fielding a starting 11 in an FA Cup Final with no Englishmen, but it was v Everton who had a load of English players.
  19. There's a surprise ....
  20. So Thai seafood doesn't use wine, garlic or herbs ..... Do you just make this nonsense up as you go along?
  21. You wrote "mediterranian seafood". The "seaside" around the Bay of Biscay and along the English Channel is definitely French, but certainly not Mediterranean. You need to work harder on this geography thing. What Thai foods? The generalisation you made was "Thai seafood is crap". Apart from the fact that Pizza Company offers a bit more than just pizza, how does that relate to Thai seafood being crap compared to Croatian culinary delights (whatever they may be)? You went to Caprice, ordered Tom Yum Kung and then moaned about the non-availability of decent European food? Cool!
  22. Two quid on Tuesday's lottery. I only took the Chinese girls pics because their outfits reminded me of Argentina's footie strips. The trouble with them though is an hour after you've had one, you fancy another.
  23. I don't think it's actually Tiger - more a codeshare thing (I could be wrong, but that's how I read it). Bear in mind that Air Asia has just started its Philippine offshoot which will also be based at DMIA. Flights to/from BKK should be announced in the near future.
  24. Why wouldn't there by a certain pride displayed in Glasgow's pubs as a result of the Argentinians' success. After all, their Football Association has its roots in the Gorbals. Why do you think they enjoy beating the English so much. I don't think you're paranoid at all. The rest of the world really does hate you as an (un)sporting nation. Funnily enough, last week I was thinking about the point, for me, at which sport changed for the worse. I came up with 1984. I had lots of sporting heroes then - Thompson, Coe, Cram, Ovett, Lewis, Moses. Sheesh, even Torvill and Dean were sporting heroes from a more innocent era. However, it also heralded the arrival of Flo-Jo and her ilk and it's been downhill ever since I've got to admit, I do enjoy the beach volleyball. I can feel a perfect butt thread coming on ...
