  1. EVA currently has various offers from 1 Nov 10 onwards with options to purchase using cash or cash plus miles. Book by 31 Oct 10.
  2. That'll be the same place you described as ..... Can you remember what the PM asked for? I can. I'm sure you do. But since it only exists in your imagination, you'll never manage to quote or link to it. You mean you missed them? Tough!
  3. Their website is 100% correct. It's only the OP that was a load of bollocks.
  4. The post, as it stands, is a bit misleading. The flight transfer service only applies to services operated by AirAsiaX and, even then, only on a few, selected routes.
  5. It would help if you indicated which websites you are talking about. It most likely means that there is only one seat available at the lower price.
  6. Err, exactly like Man U. Have they bought Real Madrid as well?
  7. Well done! Third time lucky and all that.
  8. There is a good summary of the requirements on one of the Phuket sites. Obviously, substitute Chonburi for Phuket where applicable. http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/expats/2...nformation.html
  9. Are you saying that he's neither updated the bike's registration document (green book), nor taken out the basic insurance for the last five years? From what I recall, there is a charge, calculated on a daily basis, for the period the vehicle is effectively unregistered. Assuming the bike is registered in Chonburi Province, both of you will need to attend the LTD to complete the transaction. If the bike is registered in some other province, or the seller isn't going to be present, it starts to get a bit messy (nominated powers of attorney and so on) and it may be better to get a Thai agent to handle things for you.
  10. I think the OP's point was, if you have a choice, which you do in Pattaya, why would you choose to stay in a hotel that doesn't have decent safety precautions over one that does. There are plenty of hotels/guesthouses in the 700-1,000 Baht range that have smoke detectors, fire alarms, emergency lighting, torches in the rooms, fire extinguishers, fire escapes etc. Throw into the mix, dodgy electrics, obvious overloaded circuits, locked doors and barred windows and it would seem sensible to choose to stay in a place that does have decent safety precautions in place.
  11. Just drop them an e-mail and ask if they'll do a confirmed late check-out and, if so, at what cost.
  12. I'm sure they'll do an extra hour for 1k baht.
  13. The Park 9 Serviced Apartments just of Srinakarin Road. 15 mins from Suvarnabhumi and a 10 minute walk to Seacon Square which has a 14 screen EGV multiplex on the 4th floor. Book through Laterooms.com for the 2,100 Baht rate for a 55 sq m room.
  14. It depends on what the airline (or the travel agent) calls taxes. You can ask the agent to break the "taxes" down for you - they're obliged to give you the info.
  15. Oops, there you go shooting yourself in the foot again. Do you think that's Man City's new back four, or what? Give us a clue about refarding, whatever that is.
  16. The economy class APD for Thailand goes up by 25 quid for flights departing on or after 1 November. The tax is already in place - it doesn't make any difference if you booked today or next month.
  17. Fuck off! You'd shoot yourself in the foot. Again! Anyway, it's nice to see that EADS A330 tanker is now fully certified. That should make the choice of tanker for the USAF a whole lot easier. A330 tanker gains military certification By Craig Hoyle Airbus Military will deliver its first A330 multi-role tanker transport to the Royal Australian Air Force "in the coming weeks", following its receipt of military certification for the type from Spain's INTA body. Received on 5 October, the certification "covers the design and operation of all the military systems added to the aircraft in addition to the basic civil design", Airbus says. This includes its aerial refuelling boom system and Cobham 905E underwing hose and drogue refuelling pods.
  18. They're advertising the return flights at 8.8k Baht, but when you book they are offering 6.4k Baht.
  19. And achieved without a Jock in the team ..... Thank God for Montgomerie.
  20. No different to their Phuket-KL flights which start next week.
  21. An angry, old man for sure. I'd be staying well clear of 2nd Rd if he ever announces that he's going to try out Tiffany's Shooting Range. I loved the original headline though ... Sixth Boeing 787 Makes First Flight, Testing Program Making Good Progress I think that even Scally would have baulked at describing something that is over two years late as "making good progress". 10/10 for optimism though.
  22. Make up your mind! You haven't got the hang of this posting lark, have you. He played centre back for Airbus Broughton?
  23. I thought you were an Eyetie. Don't take this the wrong way but I get the distinct impression you're a few baguettes short of a pique-nique..
  24. Sam, You're an absolute fucking hero! I have a huge amount of miles in my Qatar account but no reason to use them other than on their Singapore - Bali flights. The Bangkok - Hanoi/HCMC option is great now they are offering those legs for miles.
  25. Well, after a two year period on loan the Cup is back where it belongs. Great drama and an extra day's play for free.
