There is no good Mexican food in Pattaya, however, the Blue Parrot is probably the best of the lot.

Please point out the abusive post for me, I seem to have missed it.

Unfortunately they have all the business they can handle and are very rude at times, especially reception. They will give you a big smile, but if you ask to many questions they will try to dismiss you abruptly. If you have problems in the future, ask to see the manager or talk to April the customer service lady. I don't know who your dealing with online in your emails however. Good luck as it really is a nice establishment once your in.

Private Dancer is a book for newbies with all the usual cliches. Try Bangkok 8 for a better read.

Chang for me, never had any issues with it. For those that have, maybe you just have weak constitutions.

There are also two used book stores on soi Boukhao. One is called Pattaya Beach Books. From soi Diana it would be towards south Pattaya Rd., about half way down on the left. The other, is the best one, and again from soi Diana go towards Pattaya Klang and it would be on the right not to far down.

One man's chump is another man's cheap Charlie.

I used to think that I would never want to live in the soi Boukhao area. I considered it a sleezy part of town, full of Cheap Charlies and crime ridden. I have since changed my mind. I like the neighborhood feeling of the area and the more laid back attitude of the locals. There are many places to go and have a drink or two without having to pay the inflated prices that are asked in the tourist orientated parts of town. I would much rather have a cheap 45bt beer and a warm welcome in the neighborhood bars than pay 85 or 90bt in some cold clip joint on walking st.

Does your cell phone work in Cambodia?
Mont replied to Mont's topic in Technical problems or questions.
Thanks guys, I'll just leave it at home. I was really kinda hoping it wouldn't work. Just think, no calls from the TG, " Where are you, what you do?", etc. Mont -
Should I take mine with me or leave it at home in Pattaya?

Effective March 1st. The long term rate for a standard room for 3mo. is 19,500bt per mo. Studio is 22,500 and superior is 24,000. Free wi-fi is available, but it is spotty. Mont

Ignore York's comments, so untrue.

Don't do it, just ask ellobo. He ended up with a $1500.00 charge on his cloned card used in Korea. Mont

Sunshine Vista Serviced Apartment
Mont replied to Frederick2's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Is the noise from the construction loud enough that one should consider staying somewhere else in July? Mont -
There are better places to stay for the money. The owners are not overly friendly and cater to the golf crowd. Noise should not be a problem, construction is taking place up the street and rooms are fairly well removed from the street action. The place does have an excellant restaurant, especially for Thai food. Good location, but the AA Residence just up the street for 700bt a night is a much better deal and you can stay at the new Dynasty or Sandy Spring, also on same Soi for what you are paying at the Haven. A word of caution regarding in room safes. An in-room safe doesn't protect you in any way. By installing that safe in your room, the hotel is acknowledging that it doesn't trust its own security and staff. If anything goes missing from that in-room safe, or your room for that matter, the hotel is not liable. Your only real protection is to use the safe-deposit boxes behind the hotel's front desk---and never leave anything of value in the room. Mont

Have never had to pay a user fee at the Dynasty in BKK. They do check the girls ID. Mont -
Dynasty Inn - Pattaya..... any info??
Mont replied to Zeus's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Zeus, I don't recall a Dynasty Inn on soi 13. There is a new hotel under construction, however. Maybe that is it and just not open yet. Mont -
Eastiny Inn vs. Eastiny Place?
Mont replied to VoxVader's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Eastiny Place is the new one and closer to 2nd rd. Eastiny Inn is the one your probably looking at on the maps. I can vouch for the Inn, clean rooms, small pool on the 5th floor. Convienant mini-mart next to hotel. Good location in the heart of all the beer bars on soi 8. Mont -
