I stayed there a couple of times in the last two years once for a month The owner is a real gentleman very knowlegable scots gent other staff very good although only day lady at reception has good english the rooms are very clean big and excellent value. they are a little out of the way but if you can manage to get the baht bus ride down into town or out to jomtien then you will be ok...by the way if you think you can't use this taxi then dont bother going anywhere in thailand other than a hotel on soi 7 and the pig and whistle cause you are well and truely stuck... serious

Been given the tour by my friend last month Its down a quiet soi and just a hop skip and a jump from Annies Massage The interior is really High class and some of the staff from the Majestic Suites have transfered (Manager and a couple of cuties from front desk) My friend has stayed there and liked it. He says they are trying to compete withthe landmark hence similar pricing. hi begining to get worried booked with a company called travelhouseuk for 7 seats to bkk on Eva Air in early October. got good price etc ad gave credit card details (website shows they are abta and atol etc) all done over phone credit card never debited and no sign of flight confirmations even though the guy at travelhouse said all seats were reserved. began to get worried so rang eva direct they confimed me and my wife had reservations but said no sign of other 5 seats (booked by sister using her card). hi going back to LOS again after long break (9 months!) anyone know who is best quoting from Belfast for 4 people going start of October with 2 staying 2 weeks and 2 staying 4 weeks Usually gone EVA but plane does not make it into LHR to connect to Belfast so you have to overnight on return. I can recommend Sandy Spring - stayed there last March ecellent in terms of location price its very clean well kept and guest friendly only small downside is that its got very popular and can be difficult to book for certain periods but March should be no problem Have had friends who stayed 1 night in the penthouse hotel and booked out saying the same as has been posted before bug infested dirty hole was the reply an assuie mate replied when I asked him what it was like and he is used to roughing it ! only my opinion as they say in LOS up to you

I got 2 business suits in March and have had excellent wear out of them. I'm a big person so usually off the peg suits look like shit on me and I tend to split the arse of the pants after a while - not good I shopped around and eventually settled on the small shop at beech road end of soi 7 beside the gogo...very small unit about 3 metres by 6 ru by an indian guy with very good english and very plesant to talk to. he did the measurements and showed me various catalogues to pick whatever style I liked then showed me material samples to choose the cloth type etc... very professional

with regard to eva off loading bags on landing they must be reasonably quick I flew back from BKK via LHR and caught the last BMI shuttle back to Belfast had just over i hour from landing to boardig of shuttle ever other time i had this sort of wait the bags followed on later I was actually surprised when my baggage appeared in Belfast so thanks Eva Air PS the food stinks - pot noodle is not a meal ! but the stewardesses are really hot !

thanks fatboy and tom Amsterdam is no good as can't depend on Easyjet to make connections and I have to be back in UK by 27th Have now got a good deal with EVA through local travel agent - reasonable price flights plus hotel at heathrow on the way back and then morning flight to belfast would cost me £ 50 at least. am going out 28th August and returning 26th September 4 weeks in paradise with my TG - me no butterfly !

hello just confirming I came back last wwek from LOS with EVA my tickets had 20kg printed on them but my case wieghted in at 26 Kg and I had carry on as well the girl at the desk didn't bat an eyelid no problem even routed case to final destination without being asked however planning to go back in Sept and discovered eva flight times have changed and the flight to LHR misses my connection to belfast - bummer any suggestions ?

just back from nearly two weeks at sandy spring met up with my mate ramster and had a real good time have to agree with him air con needs to be left on and leaving the key fob in place is the only way however do it after the maid has cleaned up the room as she takes it out or manually turns the aircon off To Gordon - Larry let me read the book - where did they get my picture for the cover ! to summarise Sandy Spring clean close to action guest friendly and cheap also the tv reception is shite because its analogue satellite and cable hook ups that are not set up 100%
