  1. I've used Qatar a couple of times and found the service to be very good. The foot rests are not on the Man-Doha flight, but are on the Doha-BKK leg.(Pun intended). I like the fact that the stopover in Doha is only an hour or so.Nice to stretch ones legs. I believe Emirates' stopover is considerably longer. I am unable to sleep on the plane,so I like the idea of arriving in Bangkok at around 8am. I get my head down for a few hours at the hotel and am ready to go by mid-afternoon. I know many members will disagree with my comments but personally I would rather arrive in BKK in the morning than at night. Oh,the Duty Free in Doha is good value, but not sure about the fags. If you want a crap there, the bogs are those silly holes-in-the-floor. I poo on plane. Cheers.
  2. ...and some pink bubblegum.
  3. Lazyboy. OK, I own up! It's me,not my mate who's the perve! Thanks for the tips everyone. I must remember to bring some lolipops with me. Cheers.
  4. Erm, my mate [smiley=wink.gif] wants to know if there are any bars in Pattaya where the girls don school uniforms. I think he has a thing about pigtails. Any feedback would be most appreciated and I shall gladly pass any information on to him. Many thanks. Ste.
  5. You learn something every day! Next time England play,I'll know the words! [smiley=angel.gif]
  6. My comment was about the potato famine in Ireland many years ago. Not very funny at all,and I appologise. Too much vino-rosso!! Ste.
  7. Will try there sometime. If it ever stops raining
  8. I have heard excellent reports about the P.S on another forum and have consequently booked a couple of nights there in March. I too like the sound of the large Jacuzzi etc. It's located a few Sois down from the Nana area,so will be new territory for me to explore. Anyone recommend any good bars in the area?
  9. Laydeeboy!
  10. I've heard that many Thai girls are very unlucky, they keep having 'accidents'. Apparently this is a term a TG uses for when she is on her period. This would explain a lot! Anyone else experienced this?
  11. The repellent I use is Boots' own brand 'Repel spray'.It contains 50% deet (whatever that is),comes in a silver can and costs around £6. Seems to work for me.
  12. In some hotels you will be 'escorted' from the entrance to the reception desk.I would imagine this is not a particularly pleasant experience and would call that a walk of shame. Never done the walk myself although I got pulled up one night by a member of staff while walking back to my room.Apparently a TG was walking in the same direction a me and assumed we were together. I don't know, after all,I'm a married man!
  13. Which hotel did you move to Doolish!?
  14. From all your reports,I'm really looking forward to staying at the RG. It sounds as though it's my kind of place.
  15. Looks like it's the baht bus for me then! Humidity + Ste = Sweat a lot.
  16. I'm staying at the RG in March, and although I know it's a great place to stay, there seems to be some dissagreement between members on how far away from the action the RG is! I'm not shy of the odd stroll, but: Does a FIVE MINUTE walk mean that or what!!!? [smiley=help.gif] Cheers!
  17. Jauls. In my experience,Qatar tell you to reconfirm, but don't tell you how to. Bugger me.I was in Samui and spent ages trying to find out their contact number.Anyway: FYI the phone numbers for reconfirming your flight(s) with Qatar Airways are : Airport office: 0-2535-5640 BKK office: 0-2259-2701 0-2259-2705 It's a good idea to reconfirm, just to be on the safe side. Cheers, Ste.
  18. H 'Pre-booking' the joiner fee is a very good idea. Doing all that 'paperwork' at the reception desk seems to take forever! It's not really 'the walk of shame',just feels like it is. Who knows, the receptionist may be on commission for joiner fees!!
  19. Accy I don't go to town much but occasionally pop into FB (Fantasy Bar) or L Legs. Usually end up in the Village but only because it's full of tottie. Let me know what time you're leaving the hotel in BKK and I'll let you buy me a beer. You'll be able to tell it's me as I shall have a copy of yesterday's Manchester Evening News tucked under my arm;and probably wearing a black eye off the Mrs for doing LOS twice in 4 months. [smiley=fight.gif]
  20. Especially if the RG was all-inclusive! [smiley=gulp.gif]
  21. By the way, don't you leave on the 26th Feb!? (Not 21st).
  22. Ha ha ! I arrive early morning on the day you leave (so I've been told!!). Perhaps we can meet at the bar just to make sure you catch your cab! (I'll be the one with the red eyes, large stomach, glasses and bald head.) Those bar maids where you're staying are something else! (Well they were pretty fit last time I was there!).
  23. Or did the airline pay for the stay at the Nana as well? I need to lie down. I'm getting confused.
  24. So,you could have stayed at the Bel-Aire, instead of the Nana, paid the 800bht joiner- fee and saved yourself 270bht! Then again,I never was very good a maths! :-[
  25. How much does it cost to stay at the Nana Hotel for the night?
