Big Buddha, Sileverlake vineyard and Temples.

Great Pics. They bring back memories. I will probably end up there again this holiday. Sister in law like her drive in the country. I just wish she would do go somewhere different for a change -
Thai Women and the medical profession in Thailand

The doctor I had bee going to in Pattaya was US trained and she wants her children to complete their degrees overseas because she feels there is more opportunities for them. -
Bangkok Airport Fast Track Immigration Service
2dave replied to Greg_B's topic in Airline Discussion
I think I will use one of them. Just had a look online at expected arrivals and there are 12 flights due in around the same time as mine Even if each flight is only half full, that's about 1200 people in a 15 to 20 minute period -
I only used AirAsia once when flying back to Australia. All flights out of Bangkok had a delay on them and I nearly missed my connection in KL to Australia. Luckily they got me on an earlier flight. Internally in Thailand they appear to have better service.

Bangkok Airport Fast Track Immigration Service

I am thinking of using FT for the first time this month. Has anyone had any problems scanning the form and emailing it to them? Is this he only company offering this service? Thx Dave -
It is about right for this time of the year. From memory, my stepson caught dengue late January or ealy February last year.

I would agree - I entirely depends on how you feel when you get of the plane. I normally do a "milk run" of 3 different aircraft so I use Mr T taxi to get to Pattaya. I have never been let down yet and he has always been on time. I have thought about taking the bus but am always too tired to wait. Up to you which way you go.

Joyce should have got nothing or a reduction in his pay. The strike or whatever is over for now with flights to resume this afternoon. The news link is below http://au.news.yahoo.com/queensland/a/-/latest/11113941/fair-work-order-to-get-qantas-back-in-air/

Don't know what is going to happen. Maybe a government bail out if necessary. I hope it willl be resolved quickly. I live in the middle of Australia and Qantas is the only airline in and out. I have tickets booked for the wife and kids for November to come back to Thailand to visit family with me following 3 weeks later. I don't feel like a 1200km drive just to get to my international flight As of 3 pm Alice Springs time today http://au.news.yahoo.com/queensland/a/-/article/11084497/thousands-stranded-due-to-qantas-dispute/ I have just heard that some QLink Services are not flying

Qantas is grounded for another day as yet and maybe more. Here is the latest link http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/latest/11077745/qantas-grounded-as-talks-fail Maybe Allan Joyce should not take his pay rise if the workers can't get one

I got some work done - 4 crowns - at the Pattaya Memorial hospital. Haven't had a problem at all. The dentist who was there (my work was 18 months ago) was excellent. Didn't feel the injections or anything. I am going back in December to have more work done.

Thanks Mcan I'll check on that when I get there. Not staying at the Dynasty Inn in Pattaya at this time but could always change things a little.

I would agree. The maximum I spent when I visited Thailand averaged out to 3500 baht a day including hotel, girl/s and food. The hotel was 500 baht a night

Thanks for the info guys. Are there any specific bars in the area that I should stay clear of?
-
Thanks for the info guys. I have booked a standard new room for December. I'll only have 3 or 4 days there before I head down to Pattaya for Christmas and the New Year. Are they (Dynasty) reliable for holding reservations?

I have booked into the Dynasty Inn in Bangkok for a couple of days befor coming to Pattaya. Can anyone give me some up to date information on the hotel and local area please. Thanks in advance Dave

Truer words have never been spoken. Pattaya has been growing and changing since I first moved there in 2004. I feel I am still a newbie to the scene there with much to learn. Many more tourist busses with people from many asian countrys are there now that ever before and the accommodation areas are catering for their needs. Some areas of Pattaya will never go (like Walking Street) but some will make way for other things. Some bar owners were saying how their takings have been dropping off over the past few years and this is an ominous sign.

I have always used Mr T and will continue to do so. On the opposite my flight in was 1 hour early and I only had carry on luggage so I was through immigration and out within 15 minutes of the flight landing. The driver was there waitig for me. On the return trip I booked a mini van as I had the wife, kids and tons of lggage as well - the van was not on time but early. 100% marks to Mr T
