Thanks for checking it out guys,I think on there website they mean a couple of minutes walk to wong amat beach not Big C.But if it as far out as it seems it is probably more than a 2 or 3 minute walk to the beach as well. Emil would you say it is further away from bigc than 75 mansion? as i rarely go out around south pattaya i spend most my time in north pattaya,if it is much further then i wont be staying there.This place would defo not suit most as most people want to be in the heart of the action or somewhat closer.But being away from the centre suits me. The tgf said they have ubc did they mention this at all? or did you ask?and was the pool as nice as the pics on there website? Another thing you say you would not want to walk back at night,is it a mostly thai area?as you here about a lot of violence in thai area parts of naklua always fighting etc.so this would not appeal to me. Emil the rooms you mention for 6000 look good i think i know where the hotel is, it looked about half done when i was there in january will probably put most the lads in there for a month,is it next to the snooker hall? 75 mansion only have three empty rooms at the moment i was talking to the manager there yesterday and he said he would keep them for my dates,i had reserved these for my mates but might take one of the rooms myself for 500 baht more per month than the place next to Carrefour. I dont know whether these are good prices as i have no need for the internet ,the cost is 2000 a month or 150 baht a day .As for the electric and water it is extra so at a guess will cost you about 1500 good luck.

Viewtalayplace is located in naklua but easy to get into town and back with the new minibus service which run every 30 mins i think.http://www.pattayamail.com/631/news.shtml#hd1 although i would probably only use this to get into town but songatheaws will be plentiful from the hotel and as we will be in a group we can charter the taxi to where we want to go for around 20 baht each.The missus went to look at the rooms yesterday and said they were excelent value starting at 7,900 a month,and it was nice and quite which might not be a bad thing for a long stay i would say you could get it for 7000 or less a month for your length of trip and being off season.All rooms apparantly have ubc which is good if you fancy a night in to charge the batteries and she said the rooms were very clean,the pool looks great with plenty of seating check pics on there site. As you probably know there is plenty of entertainment venues around soi 2 and 3 and i myself prefer this end of town which has everything south pattaya has but on a smaller scale and somewhat more relaxed imo and if you want to head to south pattaya its a short ride away. She is going there in a couple of days to pay a deposit to hold the rooms for us if you are interested in this place pm me and i will get her to ask how much for 4 months off season.I emailed them about a month ago asking how much per room per month checking in end of nov and a deposit would not be a problem.To which he replied we are very busy this time of year please email again at the start of november.Dont you just love thai buisness sense .Good luck.

What dates are you looking for?It does help You can fly eithiad for 383 all in from southalltravel.co.uk depart 9th dec return 9th of jan.If you want to travel any later eithiad seems to be available for 580 all in i.e.15th to the 15th which was only 440 all in a couple of weeks ago. Hi also check out this sight for some good info www.thaifishingguide.com take a look at there freshwater section and also kanchanaburi where you can rent nice and well equiped house boats which are imo very expensive and will make my own way there and see what deals can be had if any,or get a nearby hotel and spend a day or two fishing there,you cant beat fishing in stunning scenary like what you get in kanchanaburi.

Not sure how long you are staying but a mate has just booked flying out 15th dec rtn 16th jan for 550 with jordanion,he wanted to fly on the 17th which is a saturday so he could work all week, but it was dearer. It is the best price he could get for them dates.I fly out in nov so would never consider them as the stopover on the rtn leg is 7 or 8 hours and the reviews on airlinequality.com are not very good but if i was flying out mid dec i would fly with them or gulf which i think are a similar price.

Hi hillbilly,Maybe not an option for you, but when i worked in n.ireland i flew out from belfast to heathrow and on to bangkok.About 3 hrs in a car to dublin from belfast. on return there was not one person at customs in belfast everyone just walked through Maybe they dont have many international flights if any so the security is somewhat lower than the bigger airports,i could not believe it i thought security would have been tight with the squabling that goes on over there. The only problem was that my bag did not make the last leg as we had a delay in bkk, I had 50 football tops in my bag but i had a padlock on the bag and receieved my bag the next day which was delivered to the house.I was half expecting just a letter explaining how my goods have been confiscated,if it had no padlock on it they might of had a peak as the bag would of been labelled thailand,i was not bothered about losing the tops and about 100 pound but the potential loss of revenue from selling them. I have found it harder to sell shirts and make GOOD money from when i first started bringing them back unless utd or liverpool are bringing a new shirt out,which you can buy in los several months before they are released in the uk and sell them for 30 even 35 all day. This was a few years ago though so things might be different now, maybe some n.ireland members will post what it is like now.Good luck with your smuggling.
