  6. cheers for the review mate sounds like i made the right decision to book him for my arrival. I must say he was very prompt in email reply, and seems he re-emails (is that a word) a few days before the booking to confirm driver details etc. Again a good business attitude imho. ill post a review on arrival in patts...... ONE WEEK TO WHEELS UP !!!

  8. as an aussie i always bring a small jar of vegemite for my morning toast. only once did customs ask what it was...after they stuck a teaspoon in it and tasted it i was on my way the look on the officials face was worth the 30 min delay in customs.
  9. i have some pics of the internals now that ive arrived back, ill post em in the next day when i get organised or anyone wants im happy to pvt email em the sn have a wireless net setup through the place at 2000/mth unlimited yes a bit steep but the convenience imho outweighs the charge as i can use in the room or in the garden. As far as transport in the area motorbike rank opposite, baht buses DO go past the apartments, although not regularly. The H20 imho is also a great spot with some of the better live acts (music wise) in the area, as for few farangs go there, last night i wo

  15. Hmmm Well thanks everyone now im more confused than before lol Considering my last stay in BPH was 2 days and 53,000bht it is a judicious move on mypart to find some local insurance, But $1200 AUD is a bit steep i must say, however i will contact those who were good enough to offer some suggestions to have a chat about the range of their policies. again many thanks to all who responded. Franko
  16. As far as "pimping" a place, it seems that if i have had a good experience somewhere im labelled as "pimping" it. Well that about sums up many people just like you "roland". Rather than add something constructive, simply belittle and ridicule. As far as "48 posts from you and all of a sudden you start pimping a place" goes, Not all of us spend our time trawling through the board responding negatively to every post they come across. Some of us actually have jobs. Some of us only speak/post when we have something to say, rather than speaking/posting for the sake of negativity. If the numb
  17. well "roland" we dont all like to stay in flea pits mate, i think out of 900 posts you maybe have a few dozen that arent negative... got me buggered why you bother to put you 2 bahts worth in if you have nothing positive to say.. but we all have our own opinions dont we.. thats the beauty of a free press as such
  18. Oh elevator mate as well as stairs And the security boys are only too happy to carry ya bags :) Which leads me to say that the security there is A1, never a moments bother. Theres about 10 cafes close by also if your into local cuisine. As i said i dont have any internals but im back there in 2 weeks and will post a series of the rooms. The best thing is if you are a worker like me the Wi-Fi connection is absolutely fantastic. 2Mbit connection with 54Mb from the wi-fi. NO BLOCKING EITHER. The guy that runs the net connections is the son of the owner and has a net cafe on the ground floor a
  19. unfortunatly the only shots of the inside have my g/f in "compromising" positions, so i wont post em. When i get back o the 13 july ill post some internals. Suffice it to say the rooms are large, clean, quiet and best of all reasonable rate. Easy to get to, and easy to get around. 7-11 4 doors away which has grog , phone cards lotsa good tucker. H2O bar 2 doors away has a good band and cheap drinks every night the BBQ restaurant next door has an all you can eat for 120bht which is sensational value. The place is imho one of the "unknown treasures" of Pattaya. As yo
