  1. http://www.nycairporter.com/OurServices/NewarkAirportShuttle.aspx It's not that expensive to get between EWR and the other 2 airports. Less that Swampy to Patts.
  2. Four guys have been going on the same golfing trip to St. Andrews for many years, but two days before the group is to leave, Jack's wife puts her foot down and tells him he isn't going. Jack's mates are really upset, but what can they do? Two days later, the three arrive at St. Andrews where they find Jack sitting at the bar with four drinks already set up! "Wow, Jack, how long you been here, and how did you talk your missus into letting you go?" Jack explains, "Well, I just got here. Yesterday evening, I was sitting in my living room chair when my wife came up behind me, put her hands over my eyes and whispered, 'Guess who?' I pulled her hands off, looked around and there she was, wearing only a sheer nightie. "She took my hand and pulled me into our bedroom. Well, she's been reading the book, ‘50 Shades of Grey,’ and the room had candles and rose petals all over. "On the bed were handcuffs and ropes! She told me to tie her up and cuff her to the bed, so I did. And then she said, 'Do whatever you want.' " "So . . . . here I am!!"
  3. http://www.theflightdeal.com/2015/03/08/united-927-newark-phuket-thailand-roundtrip-including-all-taxes-2/?utm_source=The+Flight+Deal+Daily+DealsLetter&utm_campaign=41162fadec-The_Flight_Deal_Daily_Deals_Letter3_2_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_eb7686b6a9-41162fadec-174814333 "Roundtrip" means "return" and "including all taxes" means "all in".
  4. Thanks harro. I saw it on the map,but at 2 locations. So it's NOT at the entrance to the Pattaya Provincial Court then as the map on their website shows.Your reply helps.
  5. Greg_B,can you help me with the specific location? The address shown on their website says Chateau Dale Complex and the small map on their website shows it's at the entrance to Pattaya Provincial Court. If I search GoogleMaps,it shows Chateau Dale Resort 2 blocks from Thepprasit Rd. Which is correct? Need to ring the baht bus buzzer at the right place.
  6. Sure guys. I wish I had seen this deal before I bought tickets for myself and TGF for Phnom Penh. I spent the cost of the 20 credit pass just for our round trip tickets. If I had seen this,I may have dumped her boney ass and made other plans. LOL I still may leave her behind in Korat though as I made plans while using wrong head.. 1 upside to these passes is that they are good for 1 year bur the BIG caveat is that they are only good for a 30 & 60 day period. Would be amazing if you could spread the flights over a year.
  7. Swampy has a Muslim Prayer Room. I'm sure that in no way compensates for the perceived lack of toilet facilities. Singapore is still my favorite but Inchon is now very a close 2nd.
  8. Thanks for that,Butch. I saw it listed on GoogleMaps adjacent to mine. That is a good price if it's the total price. Did you book directly to get that rate? All hail low season rates! This trip was an add-on since Phnom Penh was the reason I was going. I figured I might as well add some time there since it's been a few years. FWIW,I'll also accrue points which can't hurt.
  9. Does it say in the rules & conditions that you cannot go and return from the same city? This is the only restriction I see close to that. Each route can only be redeemed once using an AirAsia Asean Pass. So you cannot use an "out and back" more than once to the same city. You can use DMK as a base to any city you like but not more than once.
  10. They fly daily to & from Phnom Penh from Don Muang (DMK). I am booked in May for 8 days.
  11. A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the Richter scale hits the Middle East . Two million Muslims die and over a million are injured. Iraq , Iran and Syria are totally ruined and the governments don't know where to start with providing help to rebuild. The rest of the world is in shock. The USA is sending troops to help keep the peace. Saudi Arabia is sending oil. Latin American countries are sending clothing. New Zealand and Australia are sending sheep, cattle and food crops. The Asian countries are sending labour to assist in rebuilding the infrastructure. Canada is sending medical teams and supplies. GREAT BRITAIN , not to be outdone, is sending two million replacement Muslims. God Bless GREAT BRITAIN , damn those Brits are smart!!

  12. I searched and did not find a report, only old references. Has anyone stayed there that can give a yay or nay? I got a good deal for May at $30 ttl per night,so I booked it. The location looks good to me and is near Huge C if I need to do some shopping. I know it's on the north end of things but baht buses run nearby. Good ahead and flame away if I made a bad choice.
  13. Here is the link from above if for some reason you can't click: http://www.airasia.com/ot/en/book-with-us/asean-pass.page?utm_source=TPG+Daily+Newsletter&utm_campaign=134a1f68db-TPG+Daily+Newsletter+MC&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_2b0b8ee2b7-134a1f68db-44194405
  14. I searched and didn't see this posted in Airline Discussion so here goes: The Air Asia ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations, consisting of Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, the Philippines, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam) pass offers one month of flying for $160. For 30 days, you get 10 credits worth of flights to redeem. Flights cost between 1 and 3 credits each. For example, Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh is one credit, whereas Bangkok to Bali is 3 credits. You can alternatively buy 20 credits for $290. You must book your flights 14 days or more before the departure date, and the pass is valid on more than 140 routes.
  15. Thanks for that and also the link. I had to chuckle at the reference to "Horrible 3G". I had hoped that Thailand may have some areas of 4G or LTE by now, considering how advanced it is compared to some of it's closest neighbors. But 3G works for vacation. I can't believe I'm still reading "2G data package". It's 2015 for chrissake! Have things improved since the article has published 2 years ago?
  16. It's been some time since I've had a SIM there but I remember it was 1 2 Call SIM when I lived there. For some reason I remember AIS also. I am not sure if they are connected in some way. Don't know. Also a question. Will I be able to purchase a SIM when I exit baggage claim as in years past? And if so,is it registered there? This register thing in new to me. I read recently that Cambodia also requires the SIM to be registered in someone's name. I don't remember that being the case during my last visit there either. I may as well ask since we are on the subject. If I am a 2-3x visitor per year for no longer than 2 weeks, who will use the phone mostly for call and occasionly for data whe away from hotel wifi, which card would you recommend? I am not intending to turn this into a which oil is best thread, just want a few recommendations.
  17. Here is your answer. "I just don't understand why someone would get on a motorbike in this condition." Beacuse he was not capable of making a coherent decision. If he was drinking with friends or even with someone he just met in a bar,THEY should have made the decision for him. Shame on them. Sure he made the homestretch but what happened between the bar and the accident? What could have happened? At least you were there to help.
  18. Thanks . I was confused whe you used the Member of Parliament reference earlier.
  19. What is the location of the Massage/Laundry location again? Kind of looks familiar.
  20. If you're not in a rush, another option is the train. You can see parts of the country you haven't see before w/o the stress of driving if that is an issue. Yes it is air conditioned and there was an express of sorts last time I checked. http://seat61.com/Laos.htm#Bangkok%20to%20Vientiane
  21. I'm heading to Phnom Penh for 8 days in May on Air Asia. When you book your ticket, you can choose from 7 meals in the 120b range. I chose Pad Thai going and a chicken & rice (surprise) for the return. The flight isn't that long and even if no food is offered, I could make do with something I brought on board. Short flight-why hay a premium price? You can also choose any seat for a small premium. As most know, there is an express bus between airports,so don't let that dissuade you.
  22. Gonzo,Garmin has excellent support over the phone if you don't mind the 20-30 wait (god bless cheap Skype unlimited monthly subscription to US & Canada). I was going to suggest returning it to Garmin for repair. Usually the repair cost is reasonable and often times, they will replace your unit with a refub unit which is as good as new. They have a great reputation in the motorcycle riding arena and I would not hesitate to return another unit to them for repair. I can't imagine spending nearly $400 for a new unit when this option is available. I have returned 3 units in the past ~20 years without issue. I DO NOT know if they will ship to a 'ferrin address though. If so,it is a viable option.
  23. Uh really,1 less center seat to be stuck in. 2x3 v 3x3.
  24. Thanks guys. I was looking for dates to AVOID Pattaya from previous experience.
  25. I just figured someone here would not mind a reply. I only had 27 secs. available. Thanks again. What's this "google" thing you're talking about?
