  1. They have an excellent sale on, though think it finishes tomorrow night. £461, which is a great price. http://www.evaair.com/en-gb/london/london-to-southeast-asia-sale.html
  2. Yea, that's my experience of it this past few years as well.
  3. I opened a Kasikorn A/C, either SWIFT It over, or just bring Sterling, change it up at the best rate found, then deposit it. That way you can withdraw when you want, no need to carry big amounts about ( except when first arriving) and no fee, except a small one if using an ATM outside of Pattaya.
  4. With Interest Rates on the horizon for the US and UK, or at least the perception of it, should see them get more stronger than the Baht, that coupled with things not to great in Thailand.
  5. Was in here a week or so ago. Had the beef curry with chips. No complaints from me, was lovely.
  6. Thai use the self check in at Heathrow now. You have to give a scan of your Passport etc, then get a printed Boarding Card and luggage labels. Then you have to queue up alongside people who either don't know or haven't bothered to use the self check in. So it's still quite slow in the queue in give your luggage over, anyway.
  7. Any time i've ever been stopped by the bib on a rental bike, as long as i have my International Driving Licence and copy of my Passport with relevant Visa stamp (from Kodak shop by Soi Diana/Bauhkao junction), they have been fine, just waved me on after a quick look.
  8. Seriously hot during the day, more tolerable at night. Although infinitely more bearable than Bangkok at this time of year.
