  1. It's the perception of people in touristy areas. I don't trust my own countrymen when I'm out at the beach or other tourist oriented locations.
  2. very minor role in The Longest Yard edit in: to clarify that I'm talking about the 1970's version.
  3. If he tries that shit with a Thai it might be his last.
  4. Richard O'Brien - Riff Raff I took this pic of a hottie named Christine playing the part of Magenta in Long Beach. That's Riff Raff behind her.
  5. Robin Williams did a tribute to him last night on the Emmy Awards show. The Shadow
  6. I can't believe what people pay for dental work in the West. It would be cheaper to fly to the LOS and have it done.
  7. It would have to be, since Camel is the first you come to if coming from Sukhumvit Road.
  8. Ah, that explains why her name is Charice. I got an eMail reply back from them and have an appointment. I'm sure they're cheaper than the gouging dentists in North America.
  9. Has anyone tried OrthoSmile Dental Clinic on Soi 6/1?
  10. The giant Michael Duncan Also the late Michale Duncan, as he died about a year ago.
  11. Things definitely tightened up after the financial crash in 97. I had a Thai co-worker who wanted to trade the NASDAQ, and I had to send the money out of the country for him, so an even stricter limit if you're a Thai.
  12. Anything on the memory card would be fine, but the apps installed would be toast.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duKL2dAJN6I Jimmy Fallon's version of Breaking Bad.
  14. I think the standard practice in the LOS is to flash a new BIOS on the phone. To the OP, If your phone is CDMA, it will do no good to unlock it. It's only good for a GSM phone that uses a SIM card.
  15. My bank told me 5k in 2010. Hmm, now I'm wondering. I did a search and all I could find was this: http://www.irs.gov/Businesses/Small-Businesses-&-Self-Employed/FAQs-Regarding-Reporting-Cash-Payments-of-Over-$10,000-%28Form-8300%29
  16. The IRS will get notified of any transfers out of the country that are $5,000 or more. That's not applicable in this case, but it might be a thing to know for some others doing transfers.
  17. Apparently now the extension is for only 7 days at the original cost of 1,900 Baht. Not that long ago you could get an additional 15 days for that price.
  18. I don't have to go back home to get a new visa, just another country that will issue a multiple entry. The other caveat is, if you exit and return just before the visa expires, you get an extra 90 days.
  19. That's right, it's a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days, so with a two entry visa and a single border run you're good for almost 6 months. The Visa on Arrival at the airport is the one that is only good for one month and can be extended two weeks.
  20. Unless you have a proper visa. I did this several times on a multiple entry Non-Imm. B visa. You can also do it on a multiple entry tourist visa, and get 60 days per entry, which you can of course extend an additional two weeks at Immigration. Don't go to Immigration to extend until the 60 days are almost up though, because the extension applies from the day you make the application, not from the exit date. edited to correct the number of days per entry
