I think the standard practice in the LOS is to flash a new BIOS on the phone. To the OP, If your phone is CDMA, it will do no good to unlock it. It's only good for a GSM phone that uses a SIM card.

The IRS will get notified of any transfers out of the country that are $5,000 or more. That's not applicable in this case, but it might be a thing to know for some others doing transfers.

That's right, it's a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days, so with a two entry visa and a single border run you're good for almost 6 months. The Visa on Arrival at the airport is the one that is only good for one month and can be extended two weeks.

Unless you have a proper visa. I did this several times on a multiple entry Non-Imm. B visa. You can also do it on a multiple entry tourist visa, and get 60 days per entry, which you can of course extend an additional two weeks at Immigration.
