Airbus and Boeing products running behind schedule
BigDUSA replied to BigDUSA's topic in Idle Chit Chat
SINGAPORE Airlines grounded an Airbus A380 superjumbo bound for Sydney after the plane's front wheels rolled on to grass beside a runway when it came loose from a tow truck. Nobody was injured in the incident involving the world's biggest airliner, but 450 passengers were taken off so the plane could be moved and inspected for damage. "The plane steered to the right after it was unhinged on the runway," an airline spokeswoman said. "The front wheels moved on to the grass patch next to the runway but the aircraft did not move any further." There was no significant damage to the tyres and the airline hoped the plane would be fit for take-off last night after engineers had completed final checks. Most of the passengers had already left for Sydney on a new flight, while others flew to alternate destinations including Melbourne and Brisbane. The A380 can carry up to 853 passengers. -

What a silly argument you make two flights need two gates as if SQ couldn't adjust the schedules to accommodate having only one gate. -
Bit of an over reach to say it's a "suicide mission" to cross 2nd Road. The name is Sky-Top not Skyslops. Kinda silly on your part to misspell it. chodeekaa, Next time you stop in to use the internet take the time to look at one of the rooms. Newly renovated within the last year.

Sky-Top is less then 2 minutes away from soi 6. Rooms in the back are reasonably quiet by Pattaya standards. Sky-Top is clean with AC, fridge, TV, DVD player, in room safe. www.skytopcenterpattaya.com

Once again LMAO at your silly gate argument. Gotta have two gates for two planes. Get real. -

Silly argument as if the A380 gate is in use 24 hours a day and the other one can't use it when the first one leaves. Airlines routinely use remote unloading when the gates are full. -
If everything works out at home September or October.

When we looked at homes we were shown around by an estate agent. I was told by an expat board member there are many homes available in the 10-12K range. May buy a car for transport.

They offered it years ago but alas no more. BTW when it was offered it was good value for the money.

Check out Tropical Bert's on soi 6/1 for excellent pub grub. Way cheaper then Gregg's Kitchen and the food is just as good.

Wife and I checked out 2 and 3 bedroom furnished housing in December. Gated community with 1 to 3 year old houses. Many houses with for sale/rent in these places. We found more then suitable houses for 15-20K per month. These homes are located on the other side of Sukumvit(s)Road.

OK here's the deal. Tell your friend to book a ticket to the US and head to LA and go to the best hospital and check into the emergency room with heart pains. They will treat him for free. US hospitals are required by law to treat anyone who shows up. US taxpayer will pick up the cost.

I'll leave the menial task of checking SQ's and other airlines schedules to you. You seem to be well equipped for this type of task. -
Pattaya Park Hotel in Jomtiem is off the beaten track and is on the beach. Away from the night life in Pattaya but close enough and easy to get in to Pattaya. I've stayed there last month and it's an OK 2 star hotel.

Airbus and Boeing products running behind schedule
BigDUSA replied to BigDUSA's topic in Idle Chit Chat
PARIS, Jan. 4, 2008 EADS unit Airbus said its total orders for full-year 2007 will be a record for the group and 'very close' to the 1,413 orders announced by rival Boeing (NYSE:BA) Co yesterday. A spokesman told Agence France-Press when Airbus unveils its 2007 orders on Jan 16 it will be 'very close, one way or the other, at levels never before seen'. At the end of Nov 2007, Airbus orders totalled 1,204 units compared to 1,144 for Boeing. Orders announced in December should boost this to at least 1,300. Where O where is the 2nd A380? Could it be 'production' problems? -

As long as they make money on each one they sell it's good business. -

No. The 747 has 25 firm orders. More then enough to keep an airplane that is far past it's break even point alive and the production line going. Boeing makes a ton of money on each one. One might say that every 747 ordered is one less A380 freighter (if one is offered) that can be ordered. BTW where is the 2nd A380 that has entered commerical service? I've looked but haven't found one? -

Boeing announces 1413 orders for 2007. Looks like a great year for the home team. -

For a plane that still has to prove it can fly 790 firm orders is still 790 firm orders. BTW, I've looked for the 2nd A380 entering commerical service but unable to find one? -
Sky-Top has limited availablity Xmas-New Year

First of all the other guesthouse never opened due to problems with the building code and as I am with the BG on price and performance, I was upfront with my business arrangment with the previous owner. I realize this may be hard for you to understand but I receive no "special discounts" for referring guys to Sky-Top. I'm responding to other guys posts and your's if that's OK with you. What partner of mine are you talking about? I don't own Sky-Top. Never have, never will. BTW I responded to Pete's falsehood in a previous post. What's up with the veiled threats. Meet up face to face. How about we meet up in back of the school later today and settle this. What a jerk. What lies have I ever said about your wife, child and family? Did I ever accuse her of being a bank manager, teacher? We both know you lied to your family aout the "profession" she was in. Get over it Hub, your the guy with the problem she worked as a P4P worker. Hard to do a review of a hotel that never opened but you knew that already. -

1. Many hotels a full during January. 2. Guy had a TG problem and Pete's wife who speaks good English could help out. 3. Yes Sky-Top has moved location and the new building was remodeled.BTW Pete did a good job with the non slip tile in the bathroom.Owners looking out for his guests. 4. When guys have asked about high end hotels, I've never mentioned Sky-Top as it doesn't compete in that market. If a guy want's a pool or a kitchen or some other amenity that Sky-Top doesn't offer, I don't post. 5. Ya, I've made many post about Sky-Top when I think it's called for. 6. The purpose of this forum is to give guys up to date accurate info and I'm willing to provide it. -

The owner offered a new amenity to guests. Guys like me who spend one hour a day on the internet save 60 baht per day. I'm here for 28 days and it adds up to 1680 baht. For me it's a free barfine, LT and a beer or two. I like saving money and I don't mind sharing what I find. I've never had a financial interest in Sky-Top nor to I ask for or receive any "special discount" for referring customers. All I try to do is steer guys to a clean well run honest guesthouse. Is that so terrible? -

LMAOAY as it's still hard to get around 790 firm orders for the 787.
