Hi all, I would not knock these safe guards that the banks emplace, though I accept they may seem a pain in the arse, i.e. blocking cards if there is doubt as to your where abouts. A freind of mine purchased jewelry in Pattaya with his Visa card. No problems. He returned to the UK and received a phone call from his bank two weeks later asking him about his where abouts as two large purchases are currently being attempted in Hong Kong!!! (approx £500 each). So take care using plastic in LOS!!! I only use at ATM's and keep reciepts! Regards to all

Hi All, I priced the A4 Cruise Hotel on the corner Soi 2/Beach Road. It was a few years ago and I cant remember exactly how the room rate was, but I definatly remember thinking that it was very cheap for such a "classy" hotel. So may be worth looking at their web site for room rates. Nice hotel inside but I am sure they would have joiner fee. Regards to all.

Hi, Has anyone tried the Indian Restaurant on Beach Road, a few hundred yards up from Central Road junction? It looks ok and I'm told its has been there for years but when ever I go to go in its empty!! and I hate eating in an empty restaurant!! Has any BM tried it?? Regards to all.

Hello all, I have stayed in the Sabai Inn and found it to be fine. I have since stayed twice in Sabai Lodge facing it across the street. It is slightly cheaper but I stay there as I prefer Sabai Lodge. Delux A room with double bed, bath tub choice of 4 pools and a great location for 1150bht a night. Sabai Inn guests use these pools aswell. I think Sabai Lodge is hard to fault. I am booked in for 14 nights in 3 weeks time. I can't wait!!! I actually prefer to stay in Soi 2 as I feel it has some of the best beer bars and atmosphere in all of Pattaya. Regards to all

A question for all you experienced travellers to LOS: I intend to go to Pattaya 08 Oct & return 23 Oct. On Opodo i am quoted 591 sterling flying with BA direct to bkk from lhr. Is this the best price I can hope for? should i book now or do you think the price will come down more? as it seems to have over the last week. Thai is cheaper again and I would use them again but i want the overnight return flight. Any thoughts or advice are welcome. Regards

I am planning to head back to Pattaya in Sep/Oct for the 4th time. On my first 2 trips I had my better half from the UK with me and we stayed in the Dusit. The standard of this hotel combined with Kuoni's pay for 7 nights and get 7 free, we could not fault it. I could have had a cheaper 14 night stay in Pattaya but not a better value one. I did this twice. Obviously no LT's!! My last trip (on my own What I loved most about Sabai Lodge was its relaxed attitude and its location. I think Soi 2 has the best atmosphere and girls of the lot in Pattaya and off course its a minutes stroll b
