There is an internet shop right near the entrance of the Sunshine Hotel on Soi 8. I went there last year and was able to connect my laptop with no problems(they have a table just for laptops). The connection was pretty fast.

I stayed there for about 3-4 weeks in June and July. I booked the room through passionasia.com and got a much better rate than through the hotel. I tried to look up passionasia and the website was so slow that I gave up trying to check the current price. First time I was there I stayed on the 6th floor and everything was good. On my return from Phuket I stayed on the 4th floor and that room was pretty worn out. The noise from the hallway can be rather loud if your are near the elevator. Try and get a room as far from the elevator as possible.

Swiss Grotino was 1700 baht when I last stayed there in July. I think it was going up to 1800 this year (not sure). I also stayed at the Majestic Suites and ejoyed it as well. Both have in room safes and very girl friendly.
