Walk down Soi 6/1 and use the rear entrance(outer stairs). The QV has a security guard, or did a few years ago when I stayed there. Ladyboys were not a problem (I think they hang out a little farther down the soi, near beach road).

Metro has a side door that you use when the bar is closed (think you can use it when it is open, but still in the bar area). You have to walk through the bar in the others (unless things have changed).
