Stayed here for a few days in August..... ...650 baht per night(promotion) ...free wi fi ...no joiner fee ...free use of the pool, gym and car parking at LK Metropole Ok here's the bad.... ...no in room safe ...the room had no window, only way to see daylight was to open the door to the balcony ...Loud... the doors to the balcony and louvered window in the bathroom were wooden and I could hear everything in Soi LK Metro as well as Soi Diana.   6. no joiner fee No website that I know of, only e-mail on the business card. Pics show the correct room with price....that's how they were e-mailed to me. No internet connection for guests when I checked. They only had a connection for staff at reception.
  7. The Red Rose Hotel is the craziest hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms are all different themes....Thai Boxing, Star Wars, UFO, etc.. MY TGF actually took me there as a joke to show me the rooms. After I saw some of them I told her there was NO Way I wasn't staying there. Here's some pics. this boat room actually had water around the bed prices and pics of all the rooms If you bought a membership card for 200 baht the rooms were half price.   8. I stayed at this guesthouse both in 2006 and 2007. The room rate is 700 baht in low season (I have heard that it is the same in high season but I'm not sure). ...location is basically right behind the King Kong bar on Soi 6/1 ...free wifi but if you stay on the higher floor the signal is very weak at best ...they do not have in-room safes, only a safebox in the restaurant ...the location is good and I am sure I will stay there again Bert's wife and staff are very courteous.

I did not stay there because they did not have Wi Fi AND there was major construction going on beside the hotel. The kind of construction that pounds all day long!   11. Great Hotel and Staff.....stayed there for a week in June. 2 minutes from Bangla Rd. Superior room....980 baht Free Wi Fi....no pool but can use one nearby....free internet in lobby...and of course....Guest Friendly
  12. screw it....if you get there during the day take the Bell Transport bus(150 baht)....they take you to your hotel in a mini van when you get to the bus station. From the Airport - 8am, 10am, 12noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm. If you want a pickup at the airport, you telephone 027474675-6 and they will tell you the gate to meet at. rrc_bus@hotmail.com
  13. Queen Vic is close but remember you can always use the back door. Tropical Bert's is good but no in room safe and internet is weak at best on the higher floor.

  16. The Grottino is so close to the Asoke BTS that the girls don't even mind walking. It's a great place to stay. Town Lodge is good also but not near as close to a BTS station. (but they do have a free hotel tuk tuk)
