  1. Thanks for the update,i will actually be staying there next week. Its a place i`ve been planning to stay for a while now and i have finally got round to it, and on the whole does seem to get some good comments from guests.Trip advisor as four reviews and they all give it good marks, three of them full marks.Places like this and the pig and whistle(soi 7) can be good if you want to get away from it all for a bit,a place to chill out and gather your thoughts without being pestered by hawkers and such. I believe its very guest friendly too, great rooms priced at 850 750 and 650 baht,a well stocked
  2. if it were to stop one drink driver who is incapable of controlling his car/bike from ploughing into an innocent passerby and killing them its worth it. I do realise some people can drink a lot more than others and still be in control, but i just dont see reason why some folk need to drink and drive, most people can get a lift home for the price of a beer.
  3. A similar thing happened to me and my mates between christmas and the new year in disseldorf,we had free passes to use the buses, trams, and trains, but only once were we asked to show them and that was on a bus journey, nobody on the trams or trains checked at all and we didnt need to put them through a machine or anything. In effect people could if they wanted to risk it, travel without paying quite easy,
  4. First time i ever visited thailand was with Egypt air, cairo to bangkok and they served alcohol no problem.but that was over twenty years ago so dont know the latest on this.I thought they were a decent enough airline,i had no issues but like i say over twenty years ago, surely if anything things will have improved.
  5. Have competitive pricing and surely you`re on a winner,go for it,fortune favours the brave.
  6. Excellent,i love reading stuff like this, where worthless scum get their comeuppance, made my day
  7. They have 24 hr security that takes girls id`s and you use the front door during the night same as in the daytime,i actually e-mailed them about a joiner fee for a second guest and got a prompt reply informing me there is no fee for one or two guests, but if i wanted to pay its ok lol.Thats good to know.
  8. 900 baht seems a bit steep, although it is in a prime location.
  9. we`ve all seen british drunks on holiday and we all know what people think of them, utter arseholes. But the general feeling towards the british is generally good, with the odd exeption.Thing is the british, have been holidaying all over the world for years, and so know how to innteract with other nationalities, and know how to respect customs and show respect in certain situations. In fact we are alledgedly reknown for being polite and famous for our tolerance, the russians are not.Im not saying manners and etiquette havent developed in russia, but what i am saying is many of them dont have the soc
  10. For many years the ruskies were shielded from the rest of the world somewhat, and its only in recent years that they have started to venture, so they are still way off the pace when it comes to manners and social ettiquet(a bit like their fashion sense). Many have`nt had social interaction with any other than their own kind and think everybody`s the same.I suppose there aint much we can do about it.
  11. i`ve booked in at the butchers arms for my trip later in the year and i do know that they are guest friendly, but does anyone know if you have to pay extra if you bring a double act back to the room.I`d like to know just in case thanks.
  12. one thing you cant get enough of is pics of pattaya street scenes, nice one firth got any more
  13. the rooms at the butchers arms on soi bukauo look ace,but as anyone stayed there or know of anyone who has recently, thought about staying here for a while now, and think im going to on my next trip.rooms are 650 750 and 850 baht per night.can anyone give a review?
  14. so if i went into the bank with my nationwide debit card and passport i could just ask for x amount and thats it,no charge`s apart from what nationwide would charge me anyway. i used to use my nationwide card all the time but since the 150 atm charge i`ve not used it since.
