A bit presumptive on your part, maybe he just had a bad dentist earlier in life. In my case it is combination of that, playing sports like hockey and wrestling, age and genes. You maybe a very good dentist but you have to realize other peoples dim views may be very valid based on the their experience. Things that were done or should have been done in my late teens are now causing me problems in my late-30's. Problem is that poor dental work takes time to reveal itself.

Think you should should ask a few members how they feel about a song that goes something like "nothing more worthless than a white woman who a been with a black man". Something like that, maybe you could look up the exact lyrics for us. Since you have to use *&^%# for profanity it should be interesting to see you try and post. Something tells me you won't have the guts. Go ahead, prove me wrong. Actually it wouldn't be that brave as the black guys I know on this board go to Pattaya for fun and wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire, regardless of what you say. But the fact that you are a David Allen Coe fan without even knowing what he is about speaks volumes about you.

Ever seen the Sienfeld "Man Hand" Episode? Sorry
-
Just hope you don't go quoting too much David Allen Coe in mixed racial company.

Another true story, maybe not so funny. I have a guy that works for me part time. His full time job is at the state pen as a guard. An inmate there was a multiple sex offender, his latest stay was due to having sex with a duck in a state park (guess the new laws made kids to much of a risk). Said inmate got into it with another inmate over a period of days. Not uncommon as sex offenders are the lowest in jail. The sex offender went after the second inmate with a homemade knife. The guard had to break it up and you don't break up a stabbing by asking pretty please. So on the way back the sex offenders cell, the guard still jacked up from the action tells the sex offender : "Shut the fuck up duck fucker" So guess what happens? Guard gets suspended without pay. Good ole USA.

Pattaya Beer Garden - Week 3 is done.

"I yelled at her more than once and felt stressed to the max as she produced bill after bill of nonsense. A big thanks to the many customers who got screwed up bins and waited patiently while the mess was sorted out. Very frustrating for all involved but its amazing how understanding most people are when they know the reason for the cock ups." It really doesn't amaze me. I think the main problem with check bins is that there no admittance by management that the problem could be on their end. If management is willing to admit the problem could be on their end, guys would be willing to relax and let it be sorted. There was blog posting from last week where a few friends and blogger went to a gogo. The blogger's friend gave the waitress a 1000 baht to settle the bill but was shorted out of 420 baht change. The first farang manager got upset when confronted (this is from a blog so I don't how accurate the story is so am not siting the blog or gogo) and was beyond rude. When the farang owner tried to settle the matter for by offering the wronged punter 1000 baht, it is reported that the wronged punter just wanted the 420 baht he was owed and refused the 1000 baht and just vowed not to darken the said gogos doorstep ever again. Thing is that it is rarely about the money amount. It more about a problem being acknowledged and address in timely fashion. A simple "I am sorry, we are training our employees on a new system, we will be happy to correct any any problems" goes along way. If that was said to me, I would have probably said, add another beer to my bill while I wait. Just to help you with your training. Customer service is everything. -

Pattaya Beer Garden – Progress Report 2
btm1735 replied to PattayaPete's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Did your music survey a week ago. I was just sitting back enjoying some music here at home and realized something I have never heard or even been brought up in Thailand. How about some Steely Dan. "Hey 19" seems just as good as song as any for a laid back beer garden in Pattaya. The line "She thinks I am crazy but I am just growing old" is just about as perfect for Pattaya as it gets. -

This one should be labeled "spot the OSHA violations". Reminds of the Brit overseeing a project in India who got all of the Indian labor safety boots. The labor all cut the soles out of the bottoms of the boots. -

You started the racism bit. I don't need to check the local news, can speak from experience. 1.) in Pattaya I ran into one with a door, half my fault, half his. I was behind him, he entered the bar and stopped in the path of the door, I wasn't paying attention entered using more force than necessary for the weight of the door. The door hit him. I was all "sorry" etc... He started into me, at which point my 4'10" bg lit into him. I actually probably saved him by pulling my bg away to another bar. 2.) had an aggressive one try to take the bg I was with. I don't own anybody so up the girl. I let girl and her friends handle him and we left before he could bring back friends. You are right, they may not have been strictly Arabs. Could have been Persians or some other group. Just like the real world most are good guys there for the same things I am, but a few have a chip on their shoulder regarding Americans in particular. I am sure they experience the same in reverse. Just saying I wouldn't want to stay in place that catered to them because you would be more likely to come across the bad apple and it is harder and more of a pain to move your hotel than it is to move on to another bar. Thats all. If that makes me a racist then you are painfully pc. -

If it caters to Arabs it is not my racism or lack of that would be problem. I have had both good and bad experiences with Arabs in Pattaya, generally good, they are there for the same reason as me. Some have been bad, particular when alcohol is involved. At least in a bar it is easy to move on, not so easy to do when you are staying in the same hotel. A small safe would be good in keeping a bg from walking out with your dosh but what about when you are not in the room. If it not bolted down then the whole thing can be taken. It has happened, this month I believe. Check pattayacitynews.net. -
I always have eaten street food. Never had a problem. Only problem was with a room service burger. Most street food is fresh (chicken, pork and seafood were usually less 24 hrs from slaughter) and has actually less exposure than meat we buy in the States due to the long supply chain before it hits the table. This is why all menus in the States now recommend that all meats should be over cooked.

Beat me to it, exactly. You know what you are paying for. That's not a rip off but my be over priced for some.

Airbus and Boeing products running behind schedule
btm1735 replied to BigDUSA's topic in Idle Chit Chat
Sorry Tom but isn't this a bit of the pot calling the kettle black. We should dress you in a cute little skirt and give you some pom pom's so you can yell "Go Airbus, Yeah team". You are big fucking cheerleader. Nationalistic Yanks??? Anybody with a brain know that this "revoltionary" jet is so fucked up that the only reason their stock is not in the tank is that the big guys with the big money aren't bailing because they know that the EuroUnion will bail out Airbus at the taxpayers expense. The truth is that the airports are setup for 747's, until Airbus can deliver a plane, the Airports aren't going spend the money to deal with the new Airbus. Be real, if you managed an airport would you spend the money up grade for a plane that is as behind schedule as the Airbus. Singapore can buy as many planes as they want, but if LAX doesn't fix their terminals to handle them the way they were designed, you are propably more profitable with a 747. Since you are so into betting, how about $1000 that Airbus will not make their next contractial agreement with their customers for delivery of the fucking plane in question. They will have to re do the contracts and maybe show a profit in 2030. That is if they can see 15 years into the future, oh wait when did they start on this plane? Sorry for profane but as an otherwise wise man, you are such cheerleader you can't see the reality. -

You seem to miss my point. If it can't be done a computer, it can't be done. What are they going to do, get a bunch of Germans and French to go back to pencil and paper. Fuck gobal warming, we will hit an Ice Age first before the plane gets delivered if that is how it goes. This plane is tech wonder??? They can't even get their CAD systems to talk to each other. Being a small manufacter in the midwest of the US, I have had my bit of Engineer Arrogance. Engineers for large companies (Boeing included) tend to have no idea how to actually build anything and when it goes wrong point at the other guy. Example is that I made a rubber spring that fit with some metal parts that the made a prototype. We made 20 some odd of these protos. They said my rubber was the problem. Actually the problem was that they didn't have any tolernces on the metal components. Opps, but the funny part was that I was a green 22 yo that was out on a sales call. I was with no less than 8 engineers and I saw the problem with my own eyes, bare eyses and took a micrometer to prove it. Engineer Arrogance cost us that customer because I dared to tell them that the problem was with their design. Not the only time it has happened. I can give you a long list of them. Thing is that they will run a project into the ground before they admit they where wrong. My guess is that they will be working out the bugs in this "Revoltionary" plane for sometime to come. While Boeing just might if they are lucky play the KISS (keep it simple stupid) deal and make the Toyota Camry of passanger jets while the EU gets stuck with a boondoggel. I would make that bet on the stock market but you never know when the EU is going to bail them out. -

There is no software avaiable today that can simulate the blah blah blah... Reread that and think about what you just said. What? are they going to do it on paper ? Just a bit a news to you, if it can't be designed on computer, then it can't be done. They promised a plane that if we go by what you say, wasn't fully designed and can't be. Really I believe you are just wrong. My understanding of the situation is that the software is outdated and the French and German's software doesn't play well together. When the situation gets sorted, then they can go forward until the next problem. If you are right and I am wrong, then the situation is much worse than I thought. -
200bt bar fine is it worth doing
btm1735 replied to alan lad's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
What crowd you looking for? My guess is that the expats on a budget figure how to get out of a barfine. Two week millionares like me don't give a fuck about 300 baht. Don't discount the bf. Share the bf with the girls and encourgage good customer service. You don't have to give the money direct to the girls. Give out shots, food, things that the girls like. Happy girls = happy guys. I have no problem paying a good gogo girl 500 -600 baht bf, 2000 lt tip, plus food, drinks, etc. So a few 100 baht, use it to make your girls happy. -
Thai Baht to the USD is not as relevent as the Yaun to the USD. Or more to the point, how many dollars the Chinese are willing to buy. The Chinese want to keep the USD strong so keep their exports strong but they are getting wary of having so many of their massive reserves in one place. If you want a hedge, you can't buy the Yaun as an investment because of the way the Chinese manage it. You can how ever bet on raw materials and technogly that China will buy with their reserves. I made 4% the last quarter (12% annual rate) using this as basic logic in selecting my funds. Just looked at international funds that benefit from Chinese sucess.

You could always name some jazz artists, then explain its jazz, like the King likes.

just goes to show you that people can look at the same thing differently. I think MJ is certianly a great as basketball is one of the most taxing sports there is, certianly if you look the Pro schedule. Babe was talented but I don't see most people calling him an athelete by todays standards. MJ just had no talent for baseball but IMO he is certianly a greater athelete than the Babe.

seems to me that somebody is buying a depressed property. The buyer knows sports just like the guys that used provide fighters for the games in Rome. The guy buying knows exactly what revnue stream are not being currently tapped and has the goal of getting into big league sport on a world wide scale.

Oh and I am going on record as saying IL is not for real and won't get past the sweet 16. Elite eight at best.

you were dead on on that uk / cin game. how many over times was that. I didn't put a cent down on the tourney or the season period as a crack down has made bookie rather unrelieble around my parts, put I always believed you could make money betting on the dogs. Kansas was never a dog all season long but they only beat the spread twice out of about 30 games.

College Basketball. Hard to explain how big an event this tourney is if you don't live in the US. BTW you can keep your version of a civilized round ball. You euros kind of miss the point of sports. The battle is supposed to on the field, pitch, court, not in the stands.
