  1. I think you would like The Hill bar near top of Kasetsin Pratumnak. Benneys Roadhouse is new on Soi 5 Pratumnak. Other than that is plenty more smaller bars but Motown I like trench town in Pattaya LK metro.
  2. Family just booked out of Gatwick with China Eastern via Shanghai flights at a very reasonable £480 return next month. It’s not a bad connection only about 2 hours it’s a while since seem prices like that. They was planning on Spain but realised it’s cheaper to come here.
  3. Blue Flag don’t know if you use FB but on there there is A Photographers Thailand group and you do get the odd one or two good shots that would go down well on there imho if your interested it is strictly administered to try and keep the quality high.
  4. I do like a walk around Na Kluea seafood market another place that is quite busy but mainly Thais and Chinese in there. The assortment of seafood is very good.
  5. Took a trip to Koh Larn yesterday it was pandemonium at the beach I don’t think I’ve ever been on a beach so noisy with boats and jet skis loads of people. OMG never again. One thing which took my attention was how disciplined the Indian tourists was lining up to board the boats it was quite the opposite to the wandering in the middle of the roads in South Pattaya and the general chaos everywhere else they go.
  6. He’s still going strong god knows how long he’s has been around.
  7. I just asked my wife the original question of how many weeks in a year she came back with 48. I gave up trying to explain that she was wrong 🤓 I come to the conclusion it’s irrelevant so not worth even thinking about from her point of view which perfectly illustrates the lazy brain syndrome. And she is a lot smarter on things than me if they have some relevance to her.
  8. Absolutely I’ve seen Mapprachan go down from being the fullest I’ve seen it. What makes it all the more ludicrous was the open encouragement to poor water down the drains for a week in Pattaya to celebrate Songkran.
  9. Many of the owners I know around town have shut up shop and gone away until after the madness has finished. I personally have no issue with a bit of water throwing but what I cannot accept is the fcuking ferangs with those blue water cannon type guns which are definitely a danger to anyone on a motorcycle. I’m tucked away up north at our house and the kids are playing water and one Thai wanted to plastered me with powder I politely said no thank you and off he toddled which is how it should be. If I was in Pattaya I’m fairly sure it would have resulted in violence !!!
  10. Anyone been waiting for there lost luggage can find it at the back of Tukcom 😊
  11. Now that would be worth forgoing the odd shower for. But actually it’s a good point I doubt the authorities gave that a thought.
  12. I keep an eye on the water levels over at Maprachan when I’m out that way and the lakes is still relatively full compared to the drought years but I have to say that more and more land is becoming visible just wondering if we’ll be able to survive the hot season round the corner without water outages.
  13. It’s before my time and have no clue really but hazard a guess at Soi 15 ?
  14. Brought a smile yesterday with its Celtic shirt on.
  15. Anyone know a pharmacy where can get these from ?
  16. Not too sure he’ll hang in there until next Christmas he’s looking pretty knackered.
  17. If there is one view in Pattaya that always brings a big smile as you drive down the hill at any time of the day this is my most favourite.
  18. Very calm and clear water this morning doe on the beach.
  19. If you able to do it and have the money there’s loads around the town and villages just dumped you’d just need to knock on the doors and ask if you can buy it but better you get a Thai friend to do it😊
  20. I’ve moved out to Nong Pla Lai and was looking for a shortcut back home from Pong which there is one or two but Google maps isn’t so good on the many unadopted roads so it takes you down some weird and wonderful dead ends. I went down one this afternoon and at the end was this old Merc sitting there abandoned. It really fascinates me when I see such cars like this which you often see even around town on how the hell the got there because in it’s day this car wouldn’t have been cheap to buy. I guess it’s at least 30 years old.
  21. Probably no malice or criticism meant you know most of us here have no clue what all these mojo things mean and suffer from fat finger syndrome. And let’s not get started on this auto correcting words 😩
  22. My driving certificates usually come in the post with a QR Code which I just scan and move on calculating my savings against what it’d be cost in England 😊 Who said ferangs always must pay more not all bad in Thailand ☺️ I was away in the uk for a few weeks meanwhile the sneaky buggers installed a camera on the Bowin bypass needless to say I flashed past at 130 and when I checked the limit was 90 🙁
