Save your money, many investigation services will tell you what you want to hear or they need more time and more money. Better if you have a friend in town and ask him to pop in on the bar she used to work or even her friends bar. If you have time you may want to show up unannounced or tell her you are coming a few days after you are actually coming in. See for yourself. As the others have stated the answer is basically obvious. Hope this helps. Cheers, B-Man!

Eastiny Inn vs. Eastiny Place?
cbrib replied to VoxVader's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Personal choice between Eastiny and Flipper Lodge would be the Flipper. Sea view rooms are nice, great roof top pool, nice in house massage and as many guests as you can handle. Hope this helps. Cheers, B-Man! -
Flipper Lodge Hotel Soi 8
cbrib replied to valentinoxxx's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
2 Trips last year in low season paid 770b for a seaview room. Prefer Flipper to Eastiny for room, restaurant and definitely pool. This year who knows?? Cheers, B-Man! -
Don't worry Baz, I will not let anyone insult a friend of mine like that! I will personally attest that you are not a right tit but a complete set!!! Cheers bud. B-Man!!

Hey Sprinter, here are a few numbers on them. Phone: 66-077-422-265 and 66-077-230-993, not sure which one is fax. Great location, 1 1/2 minutes ot Green Mango Complex yet very quiet at the rooms. Cheers. B-Man!

You may want to try Chaweng Beach Garden Hotel. Right in the heart of everything and on the beach. Got the big room with tv, air con, mini fridge for 1000b in low season. Guest friendly and good restaurant on the beach. You can get a room with out a fridge for around 700b. Hope this helps, Cheers, B-man!

Find out which cell phone service she is on, this makes a difference as some are not contracted with certain calling card from what i have been told. Also if you want to send a sms from and do not have a gsm phone you can do so at cardboardfish.com if she uses AIS. The cost is around 12 Pounds or 18 U.S. for 300 messages and youget confirmation of delivery. I haven't seen anything for Orange or DTAC but haven't looked either. Hope this helps a bit. Cheers, B-Man!

Hey Lost, there is a 128 isdn in the Big C shopping center in North Pattaya on 2nd Rd called the Fantasea cafe, there is another in the Royal Garden shopping mall on Beach Rd in Central Pattaya on the 2nd floor called the Explorer cafe and another one i think on South Pattaya Rd but i do not recall the name. I am sure there are more but this is a start. Cheers, B-Man!

Hey Mischa, stayed at the Flipper Lodge a few times and never had a room with a balcony. Had the deluxe rooms a few times as well and both were nice and great views. If you like hitting the pool they have a nice one on the roof with an awesome view. Hope this helps. Cheers, B-Man!

Hey guys, having a problem installing ram into a laptop. I have been trying to add 256 chip. My laptop is upgradable to 512 total. The first chip caused the computer to freeze and lock up about every 30 minutes to 2 hours. I took it back and exchanged it and again the same thing is happening. Any ideas?? TIA. Cheers, B-Man!

Flipper Lodge taxi service ??
cbrib replied to thaidane's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Have to be careful when paying 1000b or less as alot of times this does not incluse the tolls. They usually will ask you when you get close to a toll booth or just take the other road. Just something to make sure is set up before the car comes to pick you up. Cheers, B-Man! -
Best transportation from BKK at 2am?
cbrib replied to dirk2's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Akr, as Ryu said best bet may be staying in Bkk. If your flight arrives at 1:40 and you high tail it you can probably get out of the airport by 2:15 which means bt the time you get to your hotel and check in it will probably be 2:45. Only real options at that time are Thermae or the Grace but the best pickins will be gone by then. I arrived late one trip and just grabbed a car to Pattaya. Paid 1500b and finally got to Ptty around 4:00. Was a nice night and after a long flight, kickin back in a car with a few beers on the way to Ptty was very relaxing. Not much at that hour when i arived but -
I agree with Doc, it is nice to alternate between the two. Of course as stated above an occasional trip to the bj bar is always nice. Best way is the same for bg or ggg, make sure you seem to click before you bf. Helps takeaway the attitude factor and increases the performance for the matress decathalon. Just a baht and a halfs worth. Cheers, B-Man!

Hey Ratshead, for that price and being there a month you may consider a Condo. 8-10,000 b per month should get you someplace decent at like Yensabaii, or maybe even View Talay towards lower season. Condos usually include maid service once or twice a week and free laundry. Also there are some good guest house type places just the other side of 2nd rd if you look up the sois. Hope this gets you to a good start. Cheers, B-Man!

Never had any of the problems you guys seem to have had with T/C. Just came back and the rate averaged about 42.90 for a $100 cheque. Also used my visa credit card ( acceptable along with M/C at most exchange booths) because i overspent.......again. LOL I was getting $45.00 even. If you have a visa card with your favorite airline for mileage points use that and pay it off with the money you would use to buy your T/C. Just a suggestion and my own 2 baht on the dollars worth. Cheers. B-Man!

Had a traditional Thai massage at a place on 2nd rd just south of Kiss restaurant. Paid i think b400 for a 2 hr massage. The woman was in her 40's and really good. I told her about a knee problem i had which she really didn't seem to understand till she got to it and felt it. Then she held up a finger as for " one minute" and came back woth some Tiger Balm and a little Thai magic and it has never felt better, that was almost a year ago . Would definitely go back there next time. Hope that helps. Cheers, B-Man!

Hey Derek, there is a cd/vcd player in the rooms in the Haven. Not sure on the current construction at the moment, in Sept it looked to be winding down a bit on soi 13. I was there when it first started with the pile driver right outside my window every morning at 7:00am sharp, who says the thais are never on time?? Had to move to soi 8 for peace and quiet.... ;D. Cheers, B-Man!

Hey Daniel, for me it just opened automatically in real player but i will look in a few different folders to see if it is still on the hard drive. Thanks, B-Man!

Danielbudd, i like the thaimuzic site as well. I haven't found any download section in there, is there a way to dl the music there? TIA B-Man!

Hey Turbo, i am either leaving the night ofthe 3rd or the 7th depending on availablilty. If i am still in town maybe the 6th. Catcha then. Cheers, B-Man!

Hey Turbo, bring some ear muffs if you're staying at the haven. Lots of construction on soi 13 still and the Haven is more like an outdoor courtyard style apartment building. I stayed there in Feb 2002 when it was just starting with the pile drivers literally outside my room at 7:00 am >. Moved to soi 8 for peace and quiet if that says anything. Also be prepared to pay cash as they do not take credit cards but the exchange at the corner of beach rd does. Was just there mid-July and the construction was still going on but not too bad for enclosed hotels. Have a blast. Will be in Pattaya fro

Better yet......stay in a cheap hotel, find a freelancer off the beach and take all your savings and ring the bell!!! ;D ;D ;D

On EVA's website when nothing comes up it usually means the flight is not available for the day you requested. Try entering another date or call to book. They may give you any special internet rate or miles if their site is down. Hope this helps, Cheers, B-Man! p.s. as echester suggested the xtra 100-150 is really worth it!

mobile phone & place 2 make call to USA questions
cbrib replied to mrt's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Mrt, when i need to call back to the U.S. i usually just go to this place on soi postoffice about halfway between beach rd and 2nd rd. The phone is in the back and private. Only 25 baht per minute in the air con. For me beats sweating big time in a booth. Hope this helps, Cheers, B-Man! -
