Also remember to have cash at all times. The ATMs are often far between and not very reliable. Wen you find one it might well be out of order.

Be prepared for a bit of everything at the airports. Transport between NAIA and domestic can be a pain in the ass. And when you get there the domestic is can be chaotic. PI is nothing like Thailand when it comes public transportation. Take care, watch your money and look out for scams. The women are great though...

Mike Orchid Resort has been suggested as a good alternative to Sabai Lodge as I like to stay in that part of time. I have found a homepage, but it is really poor without basic info like rates. I dont even know if there is a pool. Can anybody tell me more? Thanks Curly

Comming back in the spring. I have always been staying at Sabai Lodge or Sabai Resort on my last trip and I have been pretty happy with the service and the rooms. Plus I really like the location. But just to try something new I was wondering if anybody can suggest an alternative in that area. I dont mind paying around 2000 bath/night. Thanks in advance Curly

Booked with mr. Toom 2 weeks ago. He confirmed within 24 hours. I arrived this morning about 1 hour late - another 45 minutes to clear immigration. No problem. Mr. Toom first guy in the line with my name on sign. Nice clean Toyota and in Pattaya in about an hour and 30 minutes. Paid the 1200 including tolls and 100 bath tip. Mr. Toom seemed happy and so was I. Curly

I mailed Best Beach about guest policy and got this answer: "So policy on guest in room , Room can stay two persons who have to check in together if check in only one person, We give breakfast only one and We have safety box free of charge in the room" Curly

Thanks for the response. Best Beach sounded like an interesting place, so I mailed them and asked about guest policy. No answer after 3 days. On the other hand I got 2 quick answers back from Sabai Resort with 20% discount on their list prices in April. So they will get my business this time. Curly

Going to Manila/Angeles and KLM has by far the best connection for me. I have however read several bad reviews about the airline recently. Is it so bad that is is worth to have a four hours more of travel time on another airline? Opinions welcome Thanks Curly

Other members have postede good things about the taxi service from Kung & Pat at Wonder Tours. I gave it a try on april 2. and was not let down. They replied by email within 24 hours for booking and follow up question. Young man with sign waiting at arrival, clean new Toyota. Knew his way around Pattaya.
