  1. Hi Deadman! No worries! Girl just have to leave her ID at reception, get it back when she leaves. The reception is manned 24 hours.
  2. Hi guys! I used to stay at the old wing of Sawasdee Seaview back in year 2000. It was dirt cheap then for 250 baht a night for a walk in price on an aircon room! The room was very small just a bed and a simple little metal chair in one corner, there was a tiny TV with very bad viewing only the thai channels where visible! It stood on a rickety little table in front of a mirror, so the girls had to lean over the tv to put their make up on! Aircon was lousy, big noisy oldfashioned machine under the window no remote and you could not regulate the airflow! No balkonies, if you leaned out of the window and looked left you might catch a glimpse of the sea between the trees, only view otherwise was over the pool of the hotel next door where you could see the wealthier tourists having fun! The bathroom was very tiny as well. the door was halfeaten by mould and wouldn't close! Worst problem was that there wasn't any closet to put your clothes or bags in! Just a bar with a few hangers on! Another thing is that lots of junkies stayed here too, so it wasn't the quietest of hotels at night! Best with the place is the location next to beach road and back then the price, but if they haven't improved the rooms and for a price of 600 baht up I would give the dump a miss! Only good for a night or two while you are looking for a better place! Loads of better newer hotels up at Soi Bua Khao from 450 baht up! Remember this review was about the situation some years ago so things might have changed, but I wouldn't book a room there without having a look first! The newer wing in Sea View B was built just a 2-3 years ago and is another story, never been inside, but seems to be much better according to all good reviews it gets on this board, think the rooms features also in some of the videoclips from mrrobj's trip reports! Cheers! plahgat
  3. Hi guys! Just found out that Diamond City Place also has Wireless Internet connection in their rooms, and standard room for 9000 baht a month is not such a bad deal! Location not that bad either just up South Pattaya road passed the Friendship Supermarket, before the third road crossing. Within walking distance to Walking Street and the beach or just a quick ride on the bahtbus! Will definitely check it out next time! plahgat
  4. Hi guys! Will soon hit the road down to " ol' Patty " myself, and I need a cheap (500-600 Baht) room with wireless Internet connection myself. I will rent per month and can pay max. 15000 baht all inclusive. Location is no big problem as long it's between 3 road and the beach. I used to stay at Thai Archer a great place in soi Metro, only 10000 baht a month incl wireless in the low season, and 13000 baht high season, but I need some backup if it's full in January. Heard that The Metro in the same soi has some similar deals? Any more places you guys who are in town at the moment knows of? I am specially interested in places on or near the soi Bua Khao area. I'll appreciate your answers! Cheers! plahgat
  5. What brand are they? If it's Durex you'll find them in "Patty" no problem. I use their "Featherlite" which has a thinner skin, better for the sensations.
  6. Here is a photo of the place. Impossible to miss!
  7. Hi! Looks like a great place to that price! How about water & electric all inklusive?
  8. Hi Bigmofo! Thanks for the information! Internet rate sounds a bit steep, last place I stayed they had free wireless connection in my room, but the room rate is very competitive, so I'm sure I will go to have a look next year! Thanks again!
  9. Hi Bigmofo! Sounds like a good place! I looked in their website but it doesn't say anything about water and electric, if that is included in that price or not? They also mentioned High Speed Internet access for a special charge, is that wireless connection in the rooms so you can use your own laptop, or do you have to go downstairs to use a computer in the lobby?
