Tengo Hope you take this in the humourous way that it is meant. DAY 1 Arrive Pattaya. Can't go out today. The van carrying the answers to all my previously posted questions is still being gone through by customs and will not arrive until tomorrow. Luckily the customs people work 25 hours a day and so they may be finished by then. DAY 2 Can't go out today. Where on earth did I put that hotel room key DAY 3 Nearly went out today. Wanted to go to FLB but couldn't find the posts about how to use the new white board. DAY 4 At last I can start my trip proper. Tried

Flipper hotel soi7, flipper lodge and sunshine hotel soi8. Have stayed at them all. All have sat tv, air con, shower etc. All less than 1000 baht a night. My favourite is sunshine hotel (get room in new wing) Have a great trip Norrie

Marcus I have stayed a couple of times at diamond beach resort. This is on soi diamond right in the middle of the action and 20 meters from walking street. Usual price is about 750 baht per night. Has pool and outdoor jacuzi area, coffee shop and soapie massage next door (offers room service if needed!!) And yes it is totally guest friendly. The security guys even give you a salute as you pass!! It is not the best hotel in pattaya by any means but it does have location, location, location if you like walking street.
