  1. Looking to buy a small house in/or around Pattaya. Prefer a house but would consider a nice Townhouse. Have a Thai wife so doesn’t have to be in a Company Name. If you have one or know of anyone who is selling please PM me. Realtors can contact me too. I’m here until the beginning of March. Location: Anywhere from Naklua to Jomtien including the Darkside Size: Min. 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom (approx. min. 80sm Living Space) Prefer single storey but two storey ok. Budget: Up to 2.4 million baht Musts: Quiet Off street covered parking large enough for pickup
  2. Try the lunch buffet at the Hilton. Good value for the quality and service standards of a Hilton plus a terrific view.
  3. Usually take friends there a few times each visit. Never had any bad issues. Nicer in the evenings when you can't see the ass end of some of the other buildings.
  4. I stayed there for 3 1/2 months recently. Don't have to worry about the walk home at night. It's not seedy. Just off the main road. The soccer park is open 24hrs under lights and usually lots of folks around. I could walk to Soi Buakhow and Diana intersection in 10 minutes. Not far from Carrfore or Festival Central. Pool ok for a dip but not for doing lengths. Has underground parking and 24hr security. They use fingerprint technology for security which is hit and miss. Nothing wrong with the place overall.
  5. I've stayed there a couple of times. OK place but I found it expensive for what you get. Pool is only OK too. Soi 6 is only a short walk away. Big C is only a short walk away. Guest friendly. Jameson's Pub is attached to the complex. After more experience and longer stays in Pattaya I found I could get the equivalent for about 1/2 of what I paid there.
  6. I used the Lord Nelson a couple years ago. Handy if you like the Soi 6 action close at hand (sorry no pun intended). Price was fine, clean enough too. Watch the stairs though. They are different heights and sizes so be careful especially going down. I slipped a few times, stone cold sober!
  7. This place is not in a "tropical rain forest". It is a few hundred yards away from Nova Park on Soi AR. I didn't stay there but checked it out a couple years ago as a potential place to stay. Found it a bit expensive for what I wanted. No elevator if you got stuck on a top floor. Has a very large pool area. Not a bad location. Short walk to Soi 6 and Big C.
  8. I'm staying here now. Nice and quiet for sleeping. You can get taxi's and motorbike taxi's fairly easy but best to rent a scooter. Just a bit far to be walking. Yes they did run out of water one day. It was just part of the one day out of the month. Should they have, no but I just showered at the gym instead. Room is as displayed on the internet. Cleaned twice a week. Adequate for the price. Has a restaurant. Food OK and priced just fine. Laundry here too but I go around the corner. Can use the big resort next door. Well, no one has bothered to check or stop me.
  9. Go Calgary to Seattle and then fly Eva to BKK. Join Eva Green Club and book online and save some dollars. Look for Hot E specials. Some pretty good deals right now as long as you leave before December. Choose Evergreen Class. For the couple hundred extra bucks well worth it. I just booked Seattel to BKK return for $1010 plus $77 tax = $1087 US
  10. Hippie, I've stayed at Nova Park the last two visits. Can recommend it. The high speed was fine. I was there for six weeks. They have elevators too. Guest friendly. Staff were great too. Pool is nicer than Pinewood. I looked at Pinewood last year as an alternative but thought the Nova Park was better. The gym at Nova Park is not the type you would want to work out in everyday due to its limitations. Just go to either of Tony's. There is a new restaurant/nite club opening up across the street from Nova Park. Some dogs hang out at night in the parking lot and bark quite a b
  11. The price of the bar fine isn't what keeps me coming back or sticking around for the evening. What does is the attitude of the girls. or if there is a good show. I'm on holidays and looking to have some fun and laughs. I don't mind spending money but don't like to be pressured. I know how the game works and keep the girls drinks coming for their company. I'll often have a few girls around if it isn't busy. A 200-500 baht bar fine is insignificant in the overall scheme of things especially if the girls want 2000 -2500 for LT.
  12. Alan, Thanks for promoting. I'm not there until the 3rd week of January but will stop in even if the promotion is over just because your trying. Free beer and a bar fine - its amazing if someone could be critical of that.
  13. I gave them a credit card to hold the reservation and it was no problem.
