I stayed there at Christmas and enjoyed the hotel, clean and tidy, the staff were really good. Guest friendly and the room i had was a one bed suite was really good, (all except the water pressure on the 6th floor), and the hotel was quiet with no rowdyism. The pool is quite small but reasonable.

I fully believe your right in that there will be some/many mafia controlled beggars. I also believe there are some that are in dire need and it is my humble opinion that i am a fair judge of character and old enough to make my own decision. If i am harassed by a beggar then i walk on, if i see a beggar who is quiet and respectful, does not harass people, then i give,(especially if i see poor thai's giving to the same beggar). Sorry, but i cannot and will not change.

I have said before and i will say it again, i do give to beggars. I am selective in which beggars i give to. i feel that it may make a difference to some of them and i feel thats worth it. Giving 10 or 20 baht every now and again will not affect what i can afford and if now and again 10 baht gets into the hands of the mafia, then so be it.

Thanks for the pics, i stayed in the lk metropole this xmas and the pool is too small, next time i need to research bigger and better pools. The one on top of mikes mall is good
