Avatars

I would like to change my avatars, but cant.

I try to upload a pic with .gif extension size: 108x83 8.8 kb.

The answer is:

The error returned was:

 

You are not allowed to upload that type of file as an avatar or personal photo

 

OR, says that the avatar had changed, but happens nothing.
