As a fairly recent convert to Evergreen Deluxe, I've now got enough air miles for an upgrade on my next trip.

 

Do you have to book your flight through EVA to use them, or can other agents accept them too?

I do believe that you have to make your reservations through an EVA Air Reservation Office - phone numbers for the location near you can be found on their website

What I do is call Eva directly and ask them if the upgrade is available, then i book online and get extra bonus miles for booking online. Or you can call them directly and book over the phone or book thru a local travel agent but online booking is usually cheaper and you can get bonus miles for online booking. I don't like using a local travel agent because they always have a service charge of about $50 (2000 baht).

 

Which ever way you book, be sure the upgrade is available before you book because they only reserve certain seats for the upgrade. I always call 1-800-695-1188 before i book online.

BTW, 20,000 miles for an upgrade from cattle class to Evergreen Deluxe on one long haul flight, it used to be 15,000 but they just raised it.
