hi hippie....as u can see if u read my post 4 or 5 after yours there will be three of us going on the 11/02/05 friday

so if u wanna stop in bkk for a coupla days at the start of your trip u could catch a lift with us

Not sure how you get August from "2005/2/8". There are so many different systems used around the world regarding the order in which the components of a date are listed, that I use year-month-day because that one seems to be pretty much univerally understood (and it sorts correctly when used in lists). However, I obviously just found an exception.

 

Anyway, thanks for the offer Teddy, but the date is set. I'm leaving the Bangkok part of the trip until the end. I don't really expect to find anyone to share the ride, but if I do, great.

 

I have decided that I will be checking luggage, so that means I'll be ready to go around 5:00PM or so, if the flight is on time.

i am so excited by the time I hit BKK airport, nothing (not even the soothing hands of the maseuse's in the airport) would delay my transfer to Pattaya.

 

I usually offer the driver a 1000 baht tip if he can do the journey under 1 hr 20 minutes! They haven't done it yet, but all have tried!!

 

I wish they would hurry up and finish the new airport.
