Golf transfers

Just returned from my second visit Pattaya. Fell in love again I was dead tired from the trip home but now I am planning my next trip. Would like to play 4 or 5 games of golf next time.

 

Wonderring how the golfers in the crowd get to and from their Hotels in Pattaya and the various golf courses around the area. Whats the common form of transportation and how much does it cost.

From observation golfers usually go by bathbus or minibus. No idea of the cost.

It will be based on how far the course is. The closest are Phoenix or Siam CC. I like Siam because i can break 90 there most times. Pheonix is good too but a few very penal OB penalties from not too bad of shots fucked a few rounds up. Here is a map with contact numbers for the courses:

You should be able to negotiate a air-conditioned taxi for around 6-800 RT, less for a bahtbus. At least that was my experience May and November 2003, World Travel on Soi 8 used to take us to Siam RT in AC taxi or minivan for 600. November 2004, I went in and they asked for 1,200. Screw that so we walked up to top of Soi 8 to taxi stand and offered him 600 (I think), he hesitated but I then told him I would use him for the ride back to Bangers for 800 which was great because I was leaving the next day anyways. Very cool guy that even took us to Butterfly Bar for an hour plus on way back and had another taxi tag him out while we were inside BB. Banged him an extra few hundred for that.

 

If you are with someone else you can split costs. If RT, pay when he picks you up for obvious reasons. I've done it many times with a friend or two, and while playing in a tournament is fun, it is much quicker to play with a few friends. Also, you can sleep later if on the piss the previous night . If you leave hotel by 1 pm or so you can usually get 18 in, also nice as you can hit a bar on the way back.

 

If you are playing 4 or 5 times, get a PSC membership as will pay itself by the second round.
