The cheap charlie in me likes some of the fares on offer, and the aviation anorak in me fancies a ride in an Ilyushin Il-96 before they're replaced with Triple Sevens or whatever. Are they really as bad as some people say?

I have been flying with Aeroflot 5 times,and most of the times with IL 96.

It`s a nice plane,but you dont have the ability to watch movies as you can in their Boing 777.

BTW,Aeroflot have several new IL96 on orders from Iluyshin.

You can usually get a very cheap price with Aeroflot but I would never want to Fly in an Iluyshin again. It scared me to death and I fly a few timesa month. Kinda reminded of the old 707's from the 70's.

 

I took a firts class ticket at £900- would never ever do it again, more because of Moscow airport and the chopping and changing of schedhules at the last minute, we made an unschedhuled stop in Mongolia which added 8 hours to the journey with no warning, or explanation!

 

Imagi9ne if you will being told your about to land, expecting Don Muang and seeing Snow!!!!!
