Thai air are having a special promotion on just now and its possible to get a flight at a very good price. I have just booked a return from heathrow to bangkok for £380.00 inc. The icing on the cake for me is the no stop aspect, I have always in the past hade to hang about at some out of the way airport and wait hours for a conecting flight.

So guys, if your looking for a flight, try Thai air now, good luck.

Booked the Thai airways flight with Travelbag a few days back, was not planning to go but the price was just to tempting, £384.20 with postal costs etc.

Apart from it being a non stop flight the flight times are superb. LON 12:30 -06:05 BKK

BKK 01:10 - 07:15 LON

Any views(legroom, food, etc) on Thai airways would be appreciated.

Hi Ranger,

Thai airways are a good airline but tend to rely on a reputation built in the 80's and 90's.

With regard to legroom, I think they have one of the best economy pitches in the sky at 34" (BA is 30-31")

They are in the process of updating on-board services and the newer aircraft are very nice with modern comfortable seats. However, some of their older planes have business class product without any PTV (personal Television) which is unheard of elsewhere.

You will get reliable and proffesional service and the food is great, even in economy.

PS enjoy your trip.

Ranger,

I just got back last Sunday with Thai, flown with them 6 times now in economy and haven't got any complaints, the seat pitch is 34ins, foods good and no problems with getting as much booze as I wanted but the IFE can be crap if you get a bad view so just hit the booze and have a party lol. I also like the direct flight as the quicker I get to Los the better. :beer

ps join the frequent flyer club at the Thai desk by check-in, it's free and some of the benefits are worth having, eg. extra 10 kgs luggage allowance and being able to check-in at buisness class desk.

Orientaltaffy, I have already joined the Thai frequent flyers club, Whenever I book a flight with a airline that I have not flown with before the 1st thing I do is join there FF`s club, it got me a free upgrade to bussiness class last year with Qantas.

I have been told that thai are in the process of adding personal screens for the IFE to the 747/400`s that fly out of London, I just hope they complete this by the time I fly.

Do you know if I can reserve my seat position on-line prior to check in.

Thanks, Chris.
