Just wondering if anyone here has gotten a tattoo in Pattaya? I have had one done there at M & J Tattoos (Soi 15).

Any favorites out there?

I am a retired tattoo artist living in jomtien beach most of the year. From my expeience Tigar Tattoo is very good. Take your time shop around and check out each shop carefully. Just abecause they have an autoclave does not mean they use it or even that it works. A good tattoo is never cheap and a cheap tattoo is never good.

An autoclave is an expensive steam sterlizer. It is the only safe way to sterilize. All hospitals and Dr.s use them. If they don't know what an autoclave is run like hell don't wait for blood tests. It's a little late then. :D :cussing

Joe I am in the states right now but will be in jomtien beach in April. I usually hang at the Shagger Bar behind the 7/11. If you are still around I'll ring the bell. :D :cussing :D :D :D

I did shop around when I got my forearm tattoo there. Meaw at M & J seemed real cool, had some kick ass work on the walls, and offered a good price.

Seems like there's a lot of parlors in Pattaya that are rip offs.

Cheap bastard never rang the bell for me!

Russell, remember the suposedly posh bird from Bangkok with her own beauty parlour and English boyfriend who got pissed and ended up sleeping upstairs with the other girls at Shagger Bar?

Happy days.

Niall.

Russell,

This may be of no interest to you but the place was called the Winchester Club. The Winchester Club was a fictional private drinking club frequented by characters in a 70's UK TV show called Minder. The show was about dodgy but essentially goodhearted villains. A comedy really.

The Blind Beggar as I believe the place is now called is a pub in the East End of London made famous by the fact that Ronnie Kray (an East End gangster and head of the Kray gang with his brother Reggie) shot a man called Cornell (a member of the rival Richardson gang) there in 1966. Bit more nasty.

Hi Niall - a little off-topic here, but I have a fascinating book about the Krays called "The Profession of Violence (the rise and fall of the Kray twins)....I also saw the movie entitled "The Krays"...again, fascinating - although the author of the book wasn't too impressed by the movie.

I love those old black-and-white photos of this pair - jeez, I sure wouldn't want to cross them....

I would recommend Tiger Tattoo on Soi 7.

There are two brothers and they are both very, very good artists. And it is clean.

I'm pretty sure I went there and got quoted an astronomical price for a rather simple drawing that I made...see below - I got done at M&J:

He is definately not cheap but I have two from him and one took 5 hours @ 4500 Baht and the other 3 hours at 3000 Baht.

3 and 4 years later the colours are still excellent and are often comented on.

Niall I stand corrected. You are right I had it wrong. Damn the memory of an old man. :eyecrazy 2guns 2guns :banghead
