The £374 with Thai made me book a unscheduled (sp?) and fu*& work trip

in june, now i am tempted with Etihad`s offer to come in feb/march also. .

 

Paid £650 with QANTAS in 1991, and £490 aeroflot in 1989 so the current prices are just to good to pass up.

With Thai direct at £370 and Etihad indirect at £299 there is no choice to be made is there ? £70 to save a few hours each way in the poxy middle east ?

i booked thai only a few days ago and i would be spitting feathers at the lower price except the dates of my flight are outside of the ethiad time frame

Don't forget another 50 Quid saved by getting 1,000 ciggies in the poxy middle east instead of London - not to mention any booze you might pick up.

 

Travelling from Manchester, I would always choose Doha over London for my stopover. It's nice to go through an airport where they speak English!

Very Jealous. The best I can get right now for a poxy 9 hour flight is around $1000 (415 gbp...I just realised I don't have a pound symbol on my keyboard). It would only be a fraction more to go to Rome or Paris. Lose out on the P4P though.
