I'm getting a quickie trip to BKK April 10-16. I want to stay in BKK this trip because it's short, and I would like to get to see a little more of the city. (I forgot that Songkran occurs that week, but Oh well)

I have a standard room booked at the Nana (The deluxe rooms were booked)

Should I go with this, or do some of you have better suggestions (Provided I can book on Short notice)

Requirements:

1000-2000B or less

Girl-Friendly (Of course) and close to action (but does not have to be Suk)

Pool preferred but not essential

Nice pleasant rooms, suite if possible

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

:D

Swiss Park is guest friendly if you book and pay for 2 persons - according to an other board.

Nana is OK! :D

Don't carry camera or anything not waterproof, but I guess you'll stay in your room anyhow.... :P

Thanks for all the comments, guys.

I bit the bullet and booked the Omni, albeit at a higher price, but included RT airport transfers and Breakfast. I like a little luxury.

I know the Nana is OK, I stayed in the suite last trip, and the standard room has VERY mixed reviews, so I am a bit wary.

Just how far down is the Omni. It looks to be easy walking distance, but with their maps you can never be sure.

Sanuk! <huh

I was going for Nana too, but changed too Omni Tower as well, so I hope our new choice will be a good choice. I will be there in the same week as you, so maybe I'll see you there.

From others I've heard that Omni is placed close to the action, so there shouldn't be a problem there.

Omni is approx 3-4 American blocks walking. Maybe a quarter mile to Sukumvit and NEP. Not a bad walk. A few good bars along the way. You will like the hotel. I think they are really like serviced appartments. Let us know what you think of the place.

I stayed there for 10 days in February in a Studio. Very spacious with good gym and swimming pool. Easy walk to Sukhumvit, and Nana BTS via Soi 6 early and late. Sweaty in the middle of the day. No hassle with guests. B)

Thanks for all the comments. I would have stayed at the Nana excet the deluxe rooms are booked.

Omni looks good, if a little more pricey. I will report my feelings when I return. Meanwhile, I have to sweat out a week before I leave!
