I am planning a side trip to Manila. Is it cheaper to buy a RT ticket from Bangkok to Manila while I am in Bankok or should I buy it on line before I go?

Buy once you are in BKK. DO NOT FLY KUWAIT AIRLINES. R/T flights should be $220 - $250US. Philippines and Thai airways offer decent arrival and departure time. Fare are outrageous online.

Have fun,

Mark

PS. I'm there May 20th, care to meet for a drink just send me a PM

BigD, you booked it and didn't fly it. BTW, Air France no longer flies the route.

Cheers,

I am leaving from New York(JFK). I have all of Sept off. Is that a good time to go?When I checked on line the prices were in the $600 range for BKK-MNL. Where do you find the cheaper tickets? When in Bangkok who do you buy the tickets from?

Travel shops are on every corner in BKK and Pattaya. Go in, ask for a fare quote and try 3-4 shops. Take the fare that meets your need and buy it then.

On the internet, the fares are fuckin outrageous. Just buy one in LOS at a travel agency and you are set at $220 - $250.

If you insist on paying $600 then look me up in LOS & give me $600. I'll bring your ticket to you in about 30 minutes.

I bought my ticket in a travel agent in Khaosan Road BKK. Lots of information and links to anything cheap in Thailand from www.khaosanroad.com, including cheap accommodations in BKK, tickets, and latest happenings, check it out, I juz stumble on it 3 years back when I first travelled to Thailand. MNL ticket costs around US$220-250 from any travel agent available from the links.
