I've followed United since George Best played for them.

Broke down and cried when we won Euro in 99.

Now there's only one thing to say....

Oh noooo!!!!.

Does this mean they are going to dismantle Old Trafford and rebuild it in the Arizona desert, next to London bridge ?

Oh, that's O.K then. :clueless

Apparently he did a GOOD job at Tampa Bay Buccaneers.... so may be if he's borrowing a load of cash to do the buy out..... he's obviously going to be aiming for a massive return on his investment....

Lets see how the new boys do against the Dallas Cowboys..... I wonder if they even have the balls to play. They will probably chicken out.

Is £800 million a lot of money, I've heard there's a few high rollers on this board.....

I suppose he borrows off city institution and it's balanced against MUFC's future earnings off merchandising and gate receipts....

I think the big lever would be MU's ability to expand its brand even further.

I know they plan big things in China and Japan.

Now, the Chinese would dismantle Old Trafford and ship it out. They could get it on the same boat as the Rover plant. :P

He's a typcial MU fan. Lives 6,000 miles away has no connection to the city and knows nothing about football.

Brilliant, just brilliant.

From what I've heard, he's borrowing a lot of the money to fund the purchase. So if Man U don't make at least £40,000,000 a year profit, he won't be able to meet the interest payments, never mind repaying the principal. (My estimate and could be out by quite a lot :cry1 ). Glazer then plans to offer his shares in Man U as security against his borrowing so if he defaults, which as football clubs need a constant and guaranteed source of fresh investment, must be a real possibility, the Banks could take over his shares and sell them to the highest buyer or could simply put the club into receivership. I don't know what sort of profit Man U make at present but one bad season in the English Premiership and maybe failure to qualify for the Champions League or even the EUFA Cup would have a drastic effect on their profits.

Still, those fans who are burning effigies of him need to get a fucking life. It's only a GAME! Also, bear in mind that Sir Alex will be retiring soon and there is no guarantee that his successor will be as successful as he has been.

Just My opinion!

I think Man U make more money OFF the pitch than actually on it.

You're right some Fans really do need to get a life.

I reckon you're right and if the fans decided to boycott their products, they could end up hurting the CLUB rather than Glazer. I've no interest whatsoever in Man U but some of these fans have to realise that Man U is a BUSINESS and that their success on the football pitch and their ability to buy top quality players is due to the success of the business as a whole.

Going slightly off topic, there was a suggestion that Hearts and Hibs in Edinburgh should get together and arrange to build a new stadium which they would then share. Guess what, the fans objected - not on business grounds but purely because they hate each other's fucking guts. :cry1 . Again, I don't support either club but it makes economic sense for them to share a ground but the so called fans are too bigotted in their outlook to realise this.

Hearts now have a new Lithuanian owner so it'll be interesting to see whether he can provide the necessary finance to enable them to mount a serious challenge against the dominant role played by Rangers and Celtic. With apologies to Jambo, anyone who believes this is living in Cloud Cuckoo Land

I was Gonna add this bit in my earlier posting....

No disrespect to any Man U fans, I'm 1 too, even if only an armchair 1.

A few people at work came across this website the other day, after it was all over the news that Glazer was on the warpath to buy all the shares he needed to.

(I wasn't paying much attention....)

Well, it went like fans would buy some sort of gimmick with an actual value of 10p for the cost of a share in an objective to stop Glazer acheiving his target of 75%.

I was offered the chance but declined after realising that these people had just paid approx £20.00 to this website.

Did it help????

No!! it didnt, it just lined the pocket of some other sharpminded entrepeneur.

Most probably 1 of glazers Aides!

BTW I buy my MAN U "REPLICA" shirts from a very nice Thai lady who runs a stall on Beach Road for 200 Baht!

Glazer is still not gonna get any of my Money! :cry1 :D :D

I bet Rio Ferdinand wishes he had accepted ManU's contract offer before the sale instead of being greedy and holding out for more money. I don't see Glazer paying him the money he was offered.

Whats the difference between an arsonist and a MU player?

An arsonist wouldn't waste 36 matches. :P

If you see a Liverpool fan on a bicycle, should you swerve to hit him?

NO. It's probably your bike.

Did you hear about the politician found dead, wearing a Millwall strip?

The police dressed him in womens lingerie to avoid embarassing his family. :P
