Bangkok hotel

My ex-tgf arranged for me to stay at her brother's hotel (no charge) in Bangers which I thought was called The Riverside. However, it was many years ago and I tend not go to BKK much anymore so little opportunity to check.

 

I'd be grateful if someone could confirm if there still is or was such a place right by the riverside. Quite classy but not really the top end. You could walk outside onto a large ground level verandah where you could take your breakfast and watch the river traffic.

P.S. I don't think, but not absolutely certain, that it was the Menam or the Montien.

Might be the Menam Riverside hotel.

well it sounds like the "Royal River Hotel" to me, its 3 star i think, i stayed there a frw years ago and it is as you described it!

I've stayed at thr Royal River as part of an air/hotel package deal.

the place is getting a bit run down and is quite aways from most anything, might be good if out of the way is what your looking for and you can use the water taxi's. their breakfeast buffet is quit nice though, with omletts and waffles made to order and euro and thai fare. If I remeber correctly there is a "joiners" fee although they are very guest friendly, just that they have their own "bg's" at their disco.
