Going Without a Reservation during Christmas

Recommended Posts

I'm arriving in Pattaya on the 29 of December to stay for a week. Can I secure a decent room for a week without a reservation. I prefer something in walking distance to the action and something 600 baht or under a night.

Thanks.

Your timing is not good and your budget is low. I suggest you book something now. Be aware that prices go up in high season. I suggest you look off the beaten track but unfortunately such places, in your budget, do not usually have a web presence.

Check out www.skytoppattaya.com Cheap 450 and up good rooms. Clean, in room safe, AC,TV, fridge. Great location on 2nd Road. Two minute walk to soi 6 and one block from Beach Road.

The reason I ask is because every hotel I have contacted up to now has said they have no rooms available.

I'm hoping if I don't get booked in advance eventually, that I'll be able to get something when I get there.

Jake,

You've answered your own question. You had better book now if you can.

Last year I left Pattaya on January 1 because I had no reservation and couldn't find a hotel with a room avialable. Emil and I walked all over back streets one day trying to locate a room for me and there were just none to be had.

And, in high season at 600B, you will be staying in SHIT I think.

Since no one else has replied;

It's on the Jomtien bus route, which starts from the South Pattaya Road heading south. Not a terribly long walk. Good location if you like the Marine Hotel scene.

Read that the hotel is ok, nothing special. If you got a good price, then that's good.

Baiyoke location is ok, you can get to Walking Street in a few minutes and you are on the baht bus route all along to BigC.

I'd take the offer if the price is ok. As for guest fees, that is not something I have heard. Just tell them to fuck off.

stayed there on my first trip to pattaya 5 years ago,o.k hotel,lousy breafest buffet,cold food,they did't bother lighting the wormers under the trays,yes ther is a joiner fee,one day i was charged twice,since i had 2 different s/t,i would not recommend ,they also cater to chinese bus tours, but if that's all you can find it's o.k,go with bigD's advice and try the skytop 1st
