Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Cannot say anything bad, stayed there for 2 nights last months. Just a standard room but ok for the price the charged (990 incl. breakfast). Well, breakfast times until 10am are not the best, so I dropped that.

It is not a good place for smokers. They have a 500THB surcharge if you smoke in the room, or at least, they did when I stayed there last year.

I stayed there 3 times. No inroom safe in front block. Sports channels almost non existent. I like to have the option of watching football in my own room. I imagine this would not bother many board members. :D

Actually it bothers me heaps. One of the things I don't like at RG.

Maybe we need a poll. :nod :nod

Dare accepted The bloody rooster drives me mad, The dogs barking once the rooster starts never lets me get back to sleep, and the aircon was noisey and pathetic. Still good value though :banghead :clueless

Good Points.

1. Great service and staff.

2.VERY girl friendly and no joiner fee.

3.Two great pools,Gym and two saunas.

4.Huge breakfast included in the price, and if you have a guest her breakfast is free also.

5. A thirty second walk to a group of twelve beer bars, and ten minute stroll to Walking St.or Soi 7/8.

6.Every area of the hotel is very clean.

7.Only 990 Baht.

8.Condoms supplied in the room.

9.Balcony.

Bad Points.

1.Those bloody Roosters.(Take a room in the block closest to Soi dianna

2.Air Con is noisey.

3.Room service closers too early.

Areca Lodge is a great value for the money...those damn roosters not withstanding. The only problem with the place is it has become so damn popular it is hard to get a room there. The last 2 times I tried they only had rooms with twin beds available and even at that they were not available for the whole time that I needed a room.
