Has anyone ever flown Thai Air from Los Angeles to Bangkok? The reason I ask is that in the past I have flown Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong and then changed planes to BKK, because the Cathay Pacific flight is always 50% empty, and for a long flight like this the empty plane was a godsend. I'm curious to know if the Thai air flight gets crowded, as it flies just 3 times per week (Cathay Pacific has 21 flights per week).

I don't know about the passenger situation, but Thai airlines from LAX to BKK is FAR more expensive than say China Airlines or EVA airlines..

Like about $300 bucks USD!!!!

Example:......Thai airlines to BKK $1100 bucks.......China $735 bucks!!!

EVA $850 bucks!!!

I've flown Thai Air from LAX to Bangkok a few times. From LAX to Tokyo the plane is usually full. Not so full on the next leg to Bangkok. On the return flight? Full to Tokyo, not so full to LAX. Of course, a few flights don't make a trend.

Sometime I want to try the non-stop flight from NYC to Bangkok.
