Late check-in

my flight from US always get in at midnight and it's after 2am before i get to hotel.

most hotels want cc for late check-in, hell some want payment for entire reservation!!

i don't give cc info over the phone/internet if I don't have to.

so far the only hotel i've found that will give me reservation without cc is Welcome Plaza.

has anyone else been able to get res/late check-in without cc info??

if so please let me know as I plan on making reservations in the next couple weeks for my 16feb06-6mar06 trip.

For Soi 13 hotels and a couple of others try Scandibar Hotel Booking

The rates are normally better than those offered directly from the hotels, and has been providing this excellent service for some time now with no problems. Your specifics are covered in the FAQ section.

Welcome Plaza rooms are the pits, but the pool is surprisingly awesome. I found the staff rude and unfriendly there.

 

Anyway, arriving at 2am I think you'd better at least reserve 1 night somewhere. You can use an online travel agent. priceline.com.sg had good prices last time I checked for pattaya.

Why not buy a night in advance through Priceline or Priceline.HK? I've never had a problem doing that.

Hey RB. Ive never had a problem arriving late at the Lido or Queen Vic. And I have never given CC numbers or a deposit. Also, if you run your dates on Orbitz, you might get an earlier flight from Tokyo or Inchon on Thai airways. Even if your flying Delta or one of the other big ones, they will still do the luggage transfer and everything. Thai Air flies in at 2130 vice 2345.

www.skytoppattaya.com doesn't require credit card info for reservation and they will hold the room as late as necessary.

Here is my take.

 

If the hotel is filling up and you are not there yet, they will over book without a cc to hold the room and charge you if you are a no show. Just like airlines they sometimes over book.

 

If the room is paid for and you don't show up, well, it's one less room to clean but has been paid for in full.

 

Asia Hotel, BKK, screwed me w/o lube on 3 rooms my first night in BKK. I did not send them a cc # so I had no recourse. For the record they also charge 600b joiner fee so fuckem.
