Hi Guys,

Tried to do a search on this place but somehow didn't work. Would like for any of you who have stayed there to give a detailed review if you have the time, sure would appreciate it. From the Hotel Reviews it seems to be a very good value and fairly new, just don't know if it is a quiet location or not and that is what I want, also want to know is the pool a good size and keep clean, and does the TV system have English channels, CNN, sports, movies, etc. Am not much of a bar or go-go club type but a do like to sit around the beer gardens and watch the birds go by, any of those in the near vacinity(hey, I'm and old guy and don't need all the constant action, will leave that to you younger bucks). Also, from the last review see where they now have an eating facility and would like to know if anyone has tried it. Thanks guys, have a good one and enjoy. Old Bud

Stayed one night at Sunview Place based on the reviews I had read. It is off the beaten path a bit. The pool is small, but clean.

I didn't like the rooms - the bathroom is one that doesn't have a separate shower -it is open (so the entire floor gets soaked when you shower) Good luck if you have to use it in the middle of the night - watch your step.

There is also construction noise at the rear of the hotel. The staff was friendly, but I didn't like the location or the room. After one night - I left for familair territory - Soi 7. I have stayed at Areca Lodge and both the Flippers and prefer both hotels over Sunview Place.

Good luck :allright

Ive only been once to Pattaya, but I liked it there. Also, met a guy who had been to Pattaya 5 times in a year and it was his choice, so thats good enough for me.

Nice pool with fountains (great for hangovers) and jacuzzi in pool with a nice cold beer, decent rooms that were clean, friendly staff (apart from the owner who has eaten a wasps nest) and no joining fee or hassle at all.

Main problems were the cleaning lady had noisy shoes, and towels were a bit sparse at times, but only through forgetfullness.

For me was close enough to the action (2 minutes on Motorbike) but you were far enough out of the way to chill if you needed. Baht buses a bit more difficult, but they go past often enough and if you know your way around youd be alright I reckon.

Would go back, though Im easily pleased. Enquire and reserve through sunviewplace@hotmail.com, though keep it simple

I am currently staying at Sunview

This is my second time staying here & find it good value for money

There is a bit of construction going on around this area at the moment but this seems to be happening preety much most places around Pattaya.

Can not hear the noise in the rooms though

I have had a couple of meals at the restaurant & they are Ok.

Plenty of Baht busses going past plus motorcycle taxis in the area but I prefer to walk

Thanks much for the input guys, sounds like it might be a candidate for an old man like me and the price is right, as for the construction noise do understand that's going on all over Pattaya so maybe just can't be avoided. I did send them an email but there reply didn't address my question about the kitchen or the noise level around there. Thanks again for taking time out from your busy schedule to help me out here. Have a good one and enjoy. Old Bud

Hi,

Most of the smaller places may not have people who are too up on the internet. Sometimes best to phone them, or just drop in and see have they a room.

I was looking at this place myself for possible future booking. On the web site the prices are:

Rates

Apartment Type Daily Rate High Season (01.11 - 28.02)

Standard Room 550 750

Midsize Room 600 800

Large Room 650 850

Superior Room 700 900

Seems like a bargain :grin-jump

Does anyone know the difference in the rooms? Do they just get progressively bigger, do any have carpet?

Thanks.

<huh

Sunview was a bargain at one time but now they want 800B to 1500B per night and copy of your passport to book.

I have to agree, now IMHO they are getting greedy and pricing themselves out of the market, bearing in mind that they are located in the Soi Bukhaew area and not in the high end locale.

I was recently quoted 22,500 bht for a stay of 1 month. <grin :banana :banana

A quick update on this place:

They have just quoted me 1,000 baht a day for the peak season at new year. Sounds OK apart from the location, as I like to have frequent trips everyday/night to the nightlife. Guess I'll have to keep looking. I've been quoted 1,280 by the Dynasty which is probably the best deal I can get at the moment. Any comments regarding placesto stay would be appreciated - pool,GF,close to WS or sois6-8 would be appreciated.

Stayed at Sunview in April just to try something different from Sabai lodge, Sun View OK did not like deposit system in case of damages system :D made me feel like I was a drunken yob :clap1 even though I was with my wife :clap1

I still think Sabai is one of the best hotels I have stayed in I paid 1900baht last Xmas/New year, back there in 3 weeks after a few nights treat at the Royal Cliff :llaugh
