Great Condo for rent on Jomtien Beach

Recommended Posts

I have a great condo on the beach in Jomtien for rent. Everything is brand new inside. It is located in Jomtien Beach Condominium and is on the 14th floor w/sea views from the condo and balcony. It has a beautiful new bathroom with all new tile

and western style big stall shower. It has a new full teakwood/glass kitchen with fridge and microwave. The room has beautiful tiled flooring,29"flat screen tv,ceiling fan, halogen lighting w/dimmer switch and new Index furniture. There is a phone connected and available ADSL. The building has 2 big beautiful swimming pools, many restaurants, stores, maid service, laundry and excellent maintainence. There is 24 hr security and you a just a 2 minute walk to the beach and is on the baht bus route 24/7 and close to everything. I will take a long term tenant for 8000 baht a month. This complex is far better than view talay in my opinion and it would be very difficult to find a condo at this price in this type of location. Please feel free to call me.

Eric, I'll give you a one month deposit on the condo. You can hold it for me until November and you can answer a hundred emails from me asking all sorts of silly questions. I'll meet you in November and tell you that I'll deposit the rent in your account because right now I have a problem with my bank account and don't have the cash. You can give me the keys and after you go back home 650 kilometers away I can tell you VIA EMAIL that I changed my mind and really don't want to rent it after all.

Good deal or not?

I was hoping Eric would respond. The reason I posted this puzzling post is because that is exactly what he did to me last year. I really didn't appreciate his lies and having to make two trips from Loei to take care of the details because he didn't have the balls to tell me in person.

See, this is just sad. Guys are on this website to help and be helped. When it turns into an advertising venue then there needs to be backup testimonials or you can't know what's what.

Hmmm. In that context, maybe it's not sad. Gary just saved some guys from getting hurt. Two sides to every story of course, but until one sees some happy customers weigh in, one believes the long time BM.

Sounds like Eric was going to rent from Gary in the past. Eric backed out after the fact.

Eric is now the landlord looking for a renter. If a lease is solid in Thailand (is it?) then Eric's tenant should be secure within the realm of the lease.

:clap2 Maybe.

What lease, what deposit? Sometimes we take people's word as this is how it is. Unfortunately I have discovered that a handshake and a man's word is worthless.

There are always two sides to a story indeed. Gary, maybe things did not work out the way you planned. Handshake agreements and a man’s word are not the way to go when it comes to doing any business deal.

Have a look at Eric’s post. He gives his real name and his telephone number. I know because I am renting a condo from him and all is well. Eric is a very genuine person as far as I am concerned.

Well Gonzo, indeed there are two sides to every story. What you or anyone else thinks about Eric is up to you. I told you what he did to me and if he wants to tell his side of the story it's up to him.

Exactly right. I too have learned the hard way in the very beginning of trying to rent out my condos. A deposit separates the flakes from the serious customers. And the ones who continue to strangly ask inane questions are the ones who end up not renting anyway.

It sounds like you had a bad experience. I can relate.

Bangkapiboy - I hope you dont mind some criticism, its meant to be helpful and constructive.

I know viewtalay well and there are some great appartrments there but the pictures on your website are so dingy that they make the appartments look small and dirty. Likewise the outdoor shots look miserable.

If you really want to let your condos - get some professional photos done. I am sure the consdos are great - you need to make them LOOK great.

Just my opinion

Whitespider,

Really -- I think you are right. Jeez, sounds like you are a photographer. Actually, I just took some quick photos one day for the interior, and the outdoor shots are all just found on google. Thanks for reminding me to work on the web photos, since the condos really do look very nice and new in reality.

I know nothing about the condos or photography.

My impression is the condos are small. The square meters are what they are. Supposedly there's something that can be done decor-wise or color wise to create the impression of more space, but I know nothing about decor, either.

They just look small. Shrug.

Owen, you're pretty much correct. It is all about square meters. A lot of guys buy the small 28 to 32 square meter units. They are OK for renting out to friends and an occasional stay but as far as living in one I don't think I could handle it. Mine has a separate big bedroom with its own air con and balcony. I use the bedroom for my computer room also. It is a corner unit and is 60 total square meters. My friends told me I paid too much for it when I bought it but it has appreciated more than 50 percent since I have owned it. I would advise people buying a condo to spend a little more and buy one with at least two separate large rooms.

Sure, a 32sqm condo is small for many people to live permanently in. However, for temporary 1 month stays it is really perfect for most people.

Gary is right a lot of people buy the small studio units and just stay occasionally, establishing a base for themselves in Pattaya. Of course someone who intends on living here permanently should try to get a double sized unit, but it is not "spend a little more", it would mean paying double price. :)

The condo I bought for myself to live with my wife and daughter is 72sqm (2 bed, 2 bath, small balcony). Perfect size for our small family.
