Paying Deposits

I have never booked a room through Asiarooms or any of the other booking agencies but I am aware that they can be better value than going direct. Can someone out there comment on the secure procedure for paying deposits or whatever over the net. I have never been keen of handing out my credit card numbers but I will have to get with it. I realise I am missing ouut on some good deals because of this reluctance.

Perhaps if the thing has fallen over and cost you some comment on what you learned would also be good.

Asiarooms are a proper compamy I do not think you will have any problems with them. I have used sawasdee.com before a few times and again no problems.

I have always paid up front with a CC and NEVER one time was there any problems.

Never had a probelm either. But be wary of paying anything more than the "deposit' as required as any payment you do make will be "non-refundable", which really bites if your plans change or if you want to switch hotels for any reason. Also, be sure to check for pricing directly with the hotel website as I learned too late they often offer cheaper rates than the "discounters"

credit card companies would refund your money if you get ripped off, its in there policies, they prosacute offenders so people are less in-cline to rip you off ive bought many things over the internet and booked hoet rooms on my visa card with no problem. just keep the details of who you book with and what you bought.
