I just came home, flew CI AMS-BKK-AMS and have nothing to complain about, except the flight back the cabin was a little cold and i was sat in a draft. Very nice clean plane, pretty F/As, and about what you can expect in economy.

I really want to try their J sometime but money is tight. I will fly them again.

However, i am looking at flights in november now, example 2-18th but cannot find any fares on their homepage. All other airlines seem to have seats? How come CI seem full entire november or is their website broken?

usually at CI website it is difficult to find fares and other info so far in advance and prices there arent the best. I usually get my ticket 1 - 2 months out and check CI site, travelocity, expedia, orbitz, local travel web sites and local travel agents over the phone to find the best deal.

I flew on China Air 2 times from the States. 1st time they lost my baggage and I got it back after a week. 2nd time, we were delayed for 1.5 hours but beyond that it was OK. I'm an average size man so the seats were OK but I don't recommend it for fat boys.

For fat boys take business class or take EVA economy deluxe seats.

I have flown China Airlines and have had no problem. I am average height and build and found the economy seats OK. Last time I flew I told the stewardess that I was hungry and so she brought me 3 hot meals so no complaints there!

Never had a problem with changing my return date.

Mak, China usually charge £50 to change your flight/extension. Just head off to a travel agent who will do this for you. You will pay your £50 at the airport when you check your bags in etc.....so not a problem. Easy mate!!!. Hope this helps. Chock Dee!!! : :chogdee2 :D Mr Sangthip.

so lets say on my original tickets it says my return flight is on the 11th august but I want to extend my trip till the 20th. I just go to a travel agent and they change the date, then when I go to the airport on the 20th when I check-in it will be their computer that I have changed my ticket date?

When u pay the fee to change your date at check-in inside the airport, can u pay using a visa card or does it have to be cash?

Thanks everyone.

makavelli, I think it depends on what type of ticket you have. If you will be charged a certain amount for changing the return date.

I specified I wanted a six month option on the return date. Maybe I paid slightly more at the point of purchase for this ticket than one with fixed dates. However there was no charge for making changes within ticket validity.

I use Mr Sunny on Naklua Road for any dealings with airlines. SunnyOnlineTravel - good guy.

If there is a charge then you pay it at the check in desk. When I paid with Emirates, it had to be cash.

I fly from BKK - Amsterdamn - Newcastle

When I go to a travel agent in Pattaya to change my return date to the UK will they change my connecting flight from Amsterdam to Newcastle aswell so I dont have to do it when I get to Amsterdam airport?

Thanks.

makavelli, I flew Glasgow - Amsterdam - Bangkok. Using KLM cityhopper then China Air. Similar idea to your route.

When I changed my date to return. The travel agent dealt with the connecting flight as well. I was told in Pattaya that KLM (pricks) could not get me back to Glasgow from Amsterdam as it was a Friday and all flights were full. I had to get an Easyjet flight to Edinburgh airport for 130 Euros, but I was in a rush to get home and claimed it back on travel insurance.

So your Pattaya travel agent, whoever you choose will certainly let you know about connecting flights as well.

I have spoken to my travel agent in the Uk and he said he has already changed my dates on the china airlines computer for my return flight to the Uk,(He did'nt want to have to re-issue me with new tickets because it cost alot more than the normal £80 just to change your dates, so he said just take orginal tickets and just go to the aiport on the day we have changed to and check in) he has informed me that need to pay for the change of date fee when I get to BKK airport and check-in on my way out of bkk.

I forgot to ask him if he had sorted my Amsterdam-Newcastle connetion out, he prob will have wont he if my name is already on the China Airlines computer from my return leg.

Thanks eveyone
