Hi everyone,

I have just booked to stay 25 nights in the Pattaya Marriott for the Summer. I am just wondering if anyone has stayed there recently and can give me a review of the place.

I am looking forward to my stay there because me and this missus normally stay in a cheaper hotel but this year decided to stay at a top-notch place.

Pool out of 10?

Bedrooms out of 10?

Bathrooms out of 10?

Cleanliness out of 10?

We r staying in a deluxe garden-view room

Thanks everyone

Cheers Dave, I am not bothered if they are girl-friendly or not cause I am staying with the missus (who is Thai) anyway.

Anymore comments about the Marriott would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Thats what i meant.

I was being sarcastic towards others i'm afraid as there are complaints about ungirl friendly hotels. :chogdee2

When the words Marriott or Royal Cliff or Sheraton are mentioned the question of girl friendliness comes up! These are quality hotels IMO and who cares if they are girl friendly or not.

I've stayed in the marriott, my gym is the marriott and i got married in the marriott, its a lovely hotel.

Pool out of 10? 8 Basic rectangle shape, little privacy for a hand start (Pool bar gets an 11 for the coldest beer in town!)

Bedrooms out of 10? 7 Clean but small

Bathrooms out of 10? 6 Small

Cleanliness out of 10? 8s

Instead of a garden view room you may want to ask what's the price difference to get an ocean view. That will put you on a higher, quieter floor.

As for them being guest friendly, no problems at all unless Doris is wearing little more than her birthday suit.

Anyone gives you grief, just tell them you want to talk to the manager in the morning.

Enjoy. 2guns

Thanks for your scores Dungheap, Has anyone else stayed at the Marriott and can give me marks out of 10.

Also do the Bathrooms have a bath and a shower?

We chose the garden view room because it is on a lower floor, we both like being on either 1st or 2nd floor instead of being stuck high in the clouds and having to wait for a lift everytime u want to go out of the hotel.

Cheers.

Makavelli, I have stayed at the Marriott both at Pattaya and Bangkok.

For the Pattaya Marriott, I rate their rooms about an 8+. Good but not big enough for more than two people.

The bathrooms a 6 as they are small, they do have a bathtub/shower combination.

Cleanliness again 8-9, they do keep it spotless at least when I was there.

For rooms with a view, ask for a pool view as this is considered a garden view but with better views out the balcony.

If you like the Marriott for the location, then book a room, if you want better luxury, book the new Sheraton, but keep in mind there isn't a beach for either hotel.
