A couple of years ago my local airline, USAirways, joined the Star Alliance. I have about 25000 miles in my USAir account. I'm planning to take TG791/790, the non stop to BKK this fall. How do I combine the miles I will get for this flight with the miles that I already have? Will Thai Air credit my miles to my USAir account?

Any advise will be appreciated.

Just call Thai Airways and give your US Airway's FF number. Better check if the Thai Airways ticket you bought is even eligible for miles.

You can put your US AIR FF miles account # on your THAI Airways flight reservation. Must be done before you fly. Won't be a problem. Only problem will be getting a free flight after you have enough miles. Refer you to flytertalk.com for the best information available. Good luck.

Are you guy's sure you can combine Star alliance airline points. I have points with Singpaore AL and Varig, however I am gold with BMI, as far as I knew you could not combine, any idea how you go about combining the miles?... would really appreciate it.

Last year I combined my Air france and KLM miles together in their 'Flying Blue' programme, which was no problem, however like I say, never knew you could do it with Star Alliance points.

Want to try and use some of my damm Varig points before they go totally bankrupt :D

im gold on tg but when i fly with air new zealand or singapore airlines my miles are credited to my TG sccount provided i have supplied my tg number at time of booking.

otherwise i have to send in later and get credited which is a pain.

He's not talking about combining two seperate accounts. He wants to fly on one Star Alliance carrier but have those miles credited to another Star Alliance carrier.

I've been credited miles from bmi and SAS, if I remember correctly you can use the miles but such earned miles don't help you to renew a gold or silver card.

yes you can.

u could have ff accounts eg.thai and sq but you would have to nomimnate your airline at time of booking.

i used to be on both nz and tg but still have enough miles (air dollars there) for almost 1 domestic flight. but now have tg at my travel agent as my nominated airline
