With a budget of around 20,000 per month including utilities, I have also been looking in areas of South Pattaya and Jomtien excluding View Talay (which quite frankly I find depressing, and judging by the amount of jumpers so do many others) In the end I have signed up for a studio in LK pavilion which upon inspection, I both liked the accomodation and the staff attitude :allright They ticked all the boxes and we have agreed on a rate of 17k per month+electric at 7Baht a unit.

The LK Pavilion studio rooms pictures on their website look very nice. It's also in the area I like. How long of a stay did you arrrange with them to get the rate you were quoted because I see on their website that they quote 20,000 bahts a month for long term? Of course, they are girl friendly? :chogdee2

I have agreed to stay six months in order to qualify for 17k per month. They also told me 3-6 months=18k per month.

As soon as I walked into one of the rooms I was sold <grin

I have also heard good reports of this place which is an all together a much lower cost http://www.diamondcitypattaya.com/accommodation.html

Pentire just checked out LK website and agree it certainly looks good, could you confirm whether 17K is for a room or 1 bedroom suite?

Also you say electric 7 baht per unit is this the only extra charge or do you also have to pay for maid service and water like some other places.

I would appreciate your assistance :clueless

17k per month is for a studio.

Maid service and change of bedding every other day. We never discussed water however, using a shower as opposed to a tub equates to pennies so that does not concern me and it's certainly not a deal breaker.

The front desk told me that I should expect to pay 1200-3500 per month for electricity.

Cheers for the info Pentire, eventually checked out their website as internet connection at work is real slow. I didn't realise that LK did such a good deal on LT lets. I will check them out next month when I am over as I am staying at the Areca which is close by.

If your in town give me a shout and I'll buy you a beer.
