At the moment Im spitting fucking blood here, booked my flight for January online last Sunday afternoon, good deal with KLM, 559 quid.

Got my imediate e-mail reply as standard, thank you for booking with travelbag, confirmation will be sent within 48 hours, if you do not receive this e-mail customer services, its now Thursday and fuck all so far, the money as been taken from my bank, but still no confirmation, ive sent 6 e-mails so far with just two replies which were quite frankly fuck all.

So I decide to ring them, usual choices I press the option for online enquiries, result? music music and more music,

im getting desperate now so I choose offline bookings option..sorry sir we cant help you we have no access to online bookings...WHAT???

we will connect you to online booking..no wait!!!!!...too late, more fucking music, your call is important to us an adviser will be with you shortly, half hour later still music!

IS my flight booked or not?????

if your on "aol" that might be your problem.... they block e mails because they think its spam... ive just had problems joining huahinafterdark.com i blamed them for not replying, they got someone else to e mail me to say all the mail sent from them to me was bounced back .....

I've had the same problem with AOL as well. Shower of incompetent bastards who don't give a toss about customer service!!!!!

Used to be mine also...the manager is a mate (Shaun)...where you from in Cheshire Tom?

I lived the other side of the M6 but worked at the airport so it was handy for me just to drive the back roads via Knutsford and come into the airport from Handforth or Wilmslow.

 

I think Shaun may have been the same guy who was on the long haul Asia desk before he moved up (or into the back office). I used EVA at that time and he was great for getting seating plans etc for the flights and sorting out upgrades.

I am from Hartford and I am here at the moment...damn, and it's killing me (don't know if thats the same side as where you are from) though I actually reside in LOS ...thank buddha!

I lived about 2 miles from Hartford on the Northwich side of Winsford ......... I'm currently flogging my property there and am holed up in Qatar for the next few months at least. I'll probably go to China from here for a couple of years and then eventually settle down out that way although my preference is for Malaysia rather than LOS.

 

The great thing about your mate Shaun was that he was able to "tune in" to what you were after rather than the dozy bird who seemed to replace him who would be pulling flights on the likes of Alitalia and Egyptair. :rolleyes:

Finally got through by phone today..sounds like their call centre is based in India, with that in mind I will never use them again, got a e-mail with my full intinery.

now the long wait..147 days and counting :llaugh

Travelbag in Knutsford used to be my preferred agent. Fucked them off the day they got taken over by e-bookers. :thumbup

I have used both e-bookers and Travelbag before without incident. Does E-bookers have a history of poor service ??? I suppose i wouln't know about it until it actually happens.

I was planning to book with them for Xmas this year, but now maybe not after "Pattaya-mad" experience and your above comment

I've never used e-bookers but have spoken with them a couple of times when I was trying to get deals they were advertising. Their callcentre is in India and is probably ok until things start to go wrong ............... which they do for all of us eventually. I much prefer to book face-to-face (or at least know who I'm dealing with) with someone who is looking after my interests.

 

With the larger call centres you are just a phone call to be converted to a one-time sale and after that their service standards decline rapidly.

 

Just my personal choice with what I feel comfortable with.

No online booking - but customer service first class - highly professional - me very happy with the service and I am very picky!
